Fingers crossed for Pip, Apple.
Dawn - Good to hear your brother is doing well with the chemo.
Got the important things done yesterday. Bedding changed, washing done, etc. Made some phone calls. Managed to eat some pasta. Not a lot but it's a start.
Hospital appointment today. X-ray and blood tests I think but who can tell. It's right in the middle of the day so by the time we get to the hospital, attend the appointment and get back again that's most of the day gone so I don't think I'll accomplish much today.
Cup of tea and then get organised, I think.
Have a good day. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -

Yay! Grandmanerd 🤸♂️🤸♀️🤸 ( could not find any pom-poms so have a few cartwheels instead) I hope you get your living room back soon.
Glad your brother is doing better, and the house clearance idea sounds like the most sensible option, and the fastest for helping DS3 and beloved on to the next stage of their development. Time for them to climb out of the cocoon and turn into beautiful butterflies 🦋🦋 .
Hope all 🐢's visiting hospitals are keeping well.
I have been touching carpets. It is the only way to tell if it feels nice. Think I found one I could live with. Carpets are boring (sorry).
More paintwork stripped (I left it for a couple of days in disgust) and ready to be reglossed. (which seems stupid since I have only just stripped it).
I am going to be carpet-ready this week. That is my half term plan. Top floor carpet readiness.
Spent 32p on carrots 🥕🥕 so that I did not have to pay £2 for parking while waiting for DS3 to do his extra bonus GCSE revision lesson this morning. Good ol' Sainsbobs carpark.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening everyone, thank you to everyone who post regularly and I have managed to stay up-to-date with the thread but no time to post.
3 more spend days to add to my total making 6 in total .
My mother died unexpectedly in January, she was living in a nursing home and the coroner only released the death certificate last week, so last seven days have been busy, the funerals arranged, venue for wake booked, and celebrant organised. i’m lucky my sister is better at the social media thing than I am, so she is keeping everyone informed of the arrangements. This week I will Concentrate on the paperwork , the bank, pensions and any other paperwork.I love MSE, Thank you to all who share their journey and knowledge to reach their goals and live a good life on a small income.
2025 will be a year of necessary challenges and changes, and closing some doors permanently that don’t serve me or are not in my best interest.12 -
Thinking of you @Sweetbriarrose10

@grandmanerd I am pleased you are now beginning to put yourself and your health first before anything else. You are now retired if you cannot put your feet up and delegate, when will that ever happen.
You should be using your limited energy on the things that bring you joy and happiness. Some much deserved me time!
I am glad you have some family support with this, it can be very hard for both sides to break patterns of behaviour and accept change, but it can be done 😉11 -
Thank you Rowan9, After 5 years of dementia she now has peace.
I’m grateful today for helpful staff in the bank, pink blossom on my Acer and sunshine.I love MSE, Thank you to all who share their journey and knowledge to reach their goals and live a good life on a small income.

So sorry for your loss @Sweetbriarrose. Take care, thinking of you x
@apple_muncher, you do make me chortle! It's a gold, sparkly jumpsuit, with detachable cape & a rainbow rara skirt for his down time 🤣😂
Why do I keep dreaming about work?! Surely I can escape the place for a little while?! Maybe it's dreading tomorrow morning, as I'll be with the pupil I had the incident with last week... At least I'll be in a different class in the afternoon.
Anyway inset day today, set off in good time, but unexpected road works in the village at halfway point. Managed to get there with 2 minutes to spare! Ran out of time for the morning session, which wasn't good as we were just getting to the more beneficial bit! A great session in the afternoon, despite having to do a story massage on the back of a man I'd never met!!
DS3 met me outside afterwards, it's the first I've seen of him since Friday, as he's been at his GF's. Nipped to L1DL for a free cookie, but ended up buying a couple of other things too. We just about ran to the bank, thinking it closed at 4pm, to.find it closed at 3.30. Luckily I'd had a letter about closing an account, at the weekend, so fished it out of the burning pile & completed it, ready to post now.
Watched TV with DS1 whilst eating tea & competed against each other for the 1% club quiz from the weekend. Unpicked a zip, then replaced it. Nearly threw the machine out the window, as I spent half an hour trying to find out why it was misbehaving! All sorted eventually - phew!
Grateful for actual training instead of being asked to tidy cupboards!, time with my boys, that I fixed my sewing machineUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Hi all, I have now put myself in a right pickle, I have motored through the year since September, since October with an ongoing cough and tiredness, since Christmas with a major health investigation that luckily proved a false alarm, but in the meantime I have not been focussed on my job as a teacher and I an now facing a range of observations at work. This has produced a major melt down and I am currently signed off work for 4 weeks. But today I have to email my manager to let them know before we go back to teaching on Monday.
I am so flat out tired and stressed, so basically looking to forgive myself a bit, and forgiveness in advance from my colleagues and students. I periodically struggle with my teaching, but have usually made a come back. But I am not sure I can come back from this one.
Anyways I now have a bit of time to try and work it out, so bear with me.
I am currently grateful for having my art work up at an exhibition and time to get caught up in my head.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
