Today I am grateful that it is half term, for both Pip and dh looking after me - I trod on a shard of glass yesterday and it's really limited what I can do, for my knitting, for all you lovely turtles and turtle lurkers, for the pancakes dh made last night.grandmanerd, hope you are ok and that the news/ crisis / crises retreat.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!10

Glad your heart stress test went well @weenancyinAmerica. Sending hugs @grandmanerd, & hoping things are sorted soon.
NSD but not sure what number!
Woke with the alarm, then somehow managed to nod off again for another half an hour! Luckily my dinner was made, so just Norwegian to practice & eat my breakfast.
Felt quite anxious on the way to work & walking in, after something that happened yesterday, but was given feedback from a meeting & reassured that people are doing things to try & stop it continuing. The rest of the day went well.
It is also half term here now too! 🎉 Wanted to treat it like my normal Friday night, but had sewing to do before going to town tomorrow. At least it's done now. DS3 has his GF over, was nice to have tea altogether. It is only her second time at the house, but we chatted easily.
Grateful for supportive staff & offered the chance to have my timetable changed, half term being here, getting to know GFUse it up, wear it out

Tiptoeing in to make a very belated first post on this thread. The last few weeks have been chaotic and worrying with multiple upsets. Hoping thing are finally settling down a little bit now.Like a number of people on here I also need to learn the art of self forgiveness, and I find @grandmanerd s postings really inspiring, so thank you. XA lot of people on here are going through very difficult times, and I'm wishing you all the very best outcomes ((hugs))I need to go and see to DH so I'll speak to you all soon. Take care everyone.I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Hi there, hope everyone is practicing self-care. It is hard to remember to do. We always seem to be doing for others or as a result of other's actions. I have four roommates who all seem to have special needs, so I sometimes feel I am trying to fit me in somewhere. Take special care @grandmanerd. You have a lot going on in your life and all of it mentally taxing.
Today I had to run to the bank to transfer money to pay a bill which I did as soon as I got home. Stocked up on bread, milk, and cheese, getting ready for the next rain storm now set to arrive on Saturday - on the way home. Not sure the weathermen have any idea.
Went to library for preparation for book sale tomorrow. Six of us were there to sort and get ready. Wouldn't have been able to fit any more in the space. We have more books in the book sale than many libraries have in their entire collection. The local employee's union held a pop-up meeting in the library in the room we go through to get to our books. They very nicely fed us lunch as well - sandwiches, chips, and very good chocolate chip cookies. We managed to sort a lot of books, but will still be moving books around during the sale to make sure they get to the "proper" cart by subject. We had 60 carts of books last month. We have more than that this month but will need to cut it down when the sale is done as we don't have room for all of the carts to go back into our space! Just need to print a few more signs and remember to take in the plastic bags tomorrow.
Have a good weekend. Stay dry and warm (or cool if your weather has suddenly warmed up).

Today I am very grateful for getting an emergency Dr appointment (and tetanus jab and antibiotics and advice!), for DH driving me and pip hither and thither, for having steak and chips (dh is cooking as I type-yum!) for tea while pip is out at the theatre having been invited by a friend (it's the Cursed Child, so 2 showings in one day), for fresh bed linen.

Today I am grateful that I've reached the weekend after a very long week, that it was sunny again, and that I have nice colleagues.
It was a full on day again, with a team meeting starting at 9 sharp, but I felt quite organised, which always helps to keep the overwhelm at bay. Now counting the days until manager has a couple of days off (only 3 working days until then!), it's going to feel like a holiday for me too!
Quite looking forward to tomorrow, I have my volunteering in the morning, and OH has offered to drive me there so I don't have to take the bus again, and then from there I am going to go straight to London in the afternoon to see an exhibition I booked quite a while ago, I'm very excited! I will have to buy some lunch at some point, so it will be a spendy day, but I'll try and keep it to a minimum. I've been doing fairly well this month, if I continue like this I might even end up with some spare cash to finally do a tiny credit card overpayment.
Now on to prepare dinner, then I can relax for the evening. Hope everyone is having a restful evening and enjoyable weekend.Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:

Nothing spent today, so NSD #7 for me - I think!Work day, so not much done at home apart from tidying the kitchen and cooking dinner. Not much cooking either, as I made lots of things the other day, so just a matter of quickly doing some veg / sides really.9

Sending hugs Crystal, hope things improve for you soon. Hope you're ok @apple_muncher after your emergency appointment.
I've had a fantastic day! Had a lie in, & woke up to lovely sunshine. Hung some washing on the line, then wrote my shopping list whilst eating breakfast.
Gave DH a lift to town for a vaccination, & I met a friend for a cuppa & cake. Had a really good catch up, then I walked her home. Walked back into town, nipped into the opticians to see if they can do anything for the double vision in my non-cateract eye, do have an appointment booked now. Dropped sewing off, nipped to the bank, collected more sewing, & headed to mum's.
Did some decluttering for half an hour, then went to buy paint & the food shopping.
Put the shopping away after tea, then got my treats looked out, watched a film & did more of my knitting.
It's the simple things that make me happy 😍
Grateful for friends, getting frogs ticked off my list, Friday night craft & treatsUse it up, wear it out
