  • hi everyone,

well done to you that braved the dreaded sale, the store I work in was packed, and the majority of stuff was gone by midday.

Quick hint, to find out if the item you are looking for is last seasons there should be a number above the barcode ending in 1 or 2 (i think not to sure) but this shows the season it was made for, Next are currently going into season 82 so season 81 was the stuff before Christmas. I found it quite funny that I found a pair of trousers on the floor from season 32!!! lol

hope that made sense to you all

You can get your kids kitted out for about the same (or less) during the rest of the year. I do love the Next brand though as it is the only brand that allows me to buy at really cheap prices (at the outlet), kit my kids out and resell on ebay for more!! And I have never been to a Next shop sale , never mind one at 5am!

You are lucky then, the Next clearance outlet near me is pants ! you get the odd good item but generally its horrible stuff no one wants !

Its not really money saving at all though is it? You might as well go to primark. The top you bought for a fiver probably cos 50p to make. Thats the whole problem, the top is bought in for the sale that was made cheaper than their normal stock to make poeple think they are getting a bargain when in reality theyre getting something they could get in primark that matched quality wise.

erm yeah course it is ! I like Next clothing, and buy it in the sales,i used to buy it fullprice regardless..........

so of course im making a saving

I have / do shop shop in Primark too for basics, but they are not a patch on next quality wise !

i resell my 2 sons next & designer clothing on ebay and people are prepared to pay stupid prices sometimes IME

i dont bother reselling cheaper eg Primark / tesco / george clothing on ebay as they do not sell so well, and do not look in as good condition as the more expensive brands once my sons have outgrown them.

I got up, was even first in the queue, got loads of stuff for £195 and i mean loads, was really pleased.
Regarding taking children, I do have 3 children of my own but would NEVER take them at 5am, i would rather miss the best buys and go when it had calmed down. There were some poor kids at the store i was at and I do think it is awful, the babies/toddlers were screaming and I ain t suprised!
Regarding people slating the next quality, i really cannot understand how anyone can compare the quality to primark?! Like someone else said My kids get loads of wear and then i can sell on ebay, sometimes for the same or more than what i paid!!!

:T ;) fellow next bargain hunter :rotfl:

    i agree :(
I have 2 sons aged 11 & 5, and I have on one occasion taken the eldest ( when he wanted the new HP book in the summer so was up early ,tesco on the same site as next :rotfl: )

but wouldn't even think of waking up and taking the youngest ,and definitely not a child in a buggy.
i find it hot and uncomfortable imagine what they feel like ! :(
  • i do go out shopping for sales around 9am every year but rarely get much from next....yesterday was great though. Got £60 worth of stuff (judging from wat some have spent, ive been really good!!)

Found a really nice watch someone left lying around while I was queueing - held on to it to see if its reduced - asked at the till and £30 original price was down to £4!!!! Couldnt believe it - I took it ofcourse!!
