I wish parents would leave their young children behind at busy sales. Really annoying.

There wasn't a lot in my size (8, petite) or bra size, but managed to get a couple of tops and trousers.

Children in pushchairs?....Hmmmm let me leave my 2 month old at home alone, without me there to feed her.
Why should people with young children have to miss out on the sales?

I do understand that it can be frustrating when their are children running riot, i wouldn't dream of allowing mine to do that, but can you also imagine how frustrating it us for us mothers, when we try to use the lifts at sale time, only to find that we cannot get in them as people that can use escalators or stairs are using them. 10 minutes later we manage to get into 1 with our pushchairs.

walked past 2 nexts today, it was like the end of the world, to be honest i wouldnt set foot in one of them when a sale wasnt on, so i didnt go in today, i guess when you are all out in the pub next you will see "john" or "elsie" from down the road with the same shirt or dress on.

I popped in about 9:30am and got a large wall picture RRP £50 down to £1 and a metal door hanging card holder £14.99 marked to £5 but at the till it scanned at £1.

I was well pleased. DH was impressed too.

Am gutted that a coat I bought for my hubby for xmas is now half price :-(
do they give u the difference if its been reduced if you go in with ur receipt?

    Thanks

I doubt it, because then everyone would be doing it as inevitably things get reduced after a while.

There's a way round it though, if you can be bothered. A similar thing happened to me with a Doroth Perkins coat I bought last week at full price (£65) and it was reduced to £40... so I bought the £40 one and took it back with the £65 receipt. Voila! £25 better off. Better in my pocket than theirs...

It would be lovely to have a babysitter for popping to the shops, maybe we could get them free, for food shopping too,, better yet the shops could install large pens by the entrance to shops where we could leave the kids huh? Or those of us with no babysitters should only ever shop online so as not to disturb the proper customers ;)

I know badly behaved kids are a wind up, but only some are naughty, the rest are fed up with being made to try on clothes and getting bashed by inconsiderate peoples shopping bags or getting a face full of smoke every time they leave a shop. We still have to shop and we wouldn't be MSE if we weren't getting stuff in the sales.

Not sure that will work with next as they put a red dot on the labels of their sales clothes, so they will know that you got the latter one in the sale.

Ahh I didn't know that. Sorry! I know DP often scribble on the barcode of sale items, but luckily they hadn't with the coat I'd bought.
