i think scrambled eggs are indeed my only option.
i think it's the cottage cheese that makes the quiche weird
i made the quiche the other day without the cottage cheese and it was fine i used a pasta and sauce mix which was cheese and broccli cooked it in the microwave for half the time it tells you to on the packet (think its 4 1/2 mins) whisked up 3 eggs added some cooked chopped onions and some mushrooms red pepper then put the pasta mix in altogether pour into a quiche dish sprinkle mixed herbs on the top and sliced tomato then cook on 180 for about 30mins or until set0 -

Okay confession time, I decided to try and make a low syn tiramisu last night and when I opened up the fridge this morning it looked so perfect I had to try a teaspoonful if it, kind of turned into the whole thing, ooops. Still have to work out the exact syns for it too but will tell you what I did in case anyone, like me, is addicted to the stuff.
beat one egg and 2 tbs of sweetener (I used xylitol so I will have extra syns)
add the contents of a tub of quark and a few drops of vanilla extract. MAke up some very strong coffee and add a measure of booze if you fancy, I added Kahlua. For each portion (it made 2 generous ones) I broke up a boudoir biscuit in half and dipped in the coffee and put in bottom of bowl, layered on some quark, dipped another halved boudoir bisuit and layered on and topped with the rest of the quark mix, I then couldn't be bothered grating chocolate at gone 10pm so I sprinkled on a teaspoon of Green and Black's drinking choc onto each one and put in fridge to set. It is tangier than tiramisu but not as much as it would be with yoghurt or fromage frais and a lovely moussey texture. Really good and a great alternative. Now just got to go and work out the syns, I will leave you to do your own as I obviously added in xylitol that most people wouldn't and the hot choc powder will be higher in syns than options would be. And what the sin is for eating it for breakfast I hate to think. I might as well confess now that since it is WI tonight I will be having the other one when I come home regardless.0 -
Anyone got a simple (free on Green) chilli con carne receipe for Quorn! I just fancy a hot one tonight!

Skint_Catt, for chilli, I would fry an onion and a clove of garlic in some frylight. Add some chopped mushrooms, courgette and pepper. When soft, add the quorn mince and a splash of water if needed.
Add a tin or two of tomatoes and a drained rinsed tin of kidney beans. Sprinkle in your chilli powder to taste (if you haven't added a diced chilli at the start.) Let it reduce down for a few minutes and serve with rice, very low fat fromage frais and some jalapinos. (All free on green.)
I do it with 3 beans (eg haricot, pinto and kidney beans) and plenty of veg, rather than quorn.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
What do you all do when you've had a bit of a cheat? We went for a meal yesterday and it pushed my syns up over 15 (to 20 - kicking myself for having cornflakes for breakfast.)
Would you just have fewer syns for a few days or write it off?May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -

When I did it a few years back they said to save up/cut down on syns, but now they call it 'flexible syns' where you're aware of your oversight, but now just carry on as normal - no reduction in todays syns (I think the idea is not to make yourself hungry today because of yesterday or to compenstae as thats when you fail)
Thansk for the chilli tip!
