Good luck tomorrow, Lady VI.0

if anyone works fulltime and does not have time to cook curries from scratch then some sw groups sell curryslim its a 350g cooking sauce available in korma, jalfrazi, tikka, masarla or vinderloo.
the jars are 6 sins for the whole jar so 3 sins per portion, great on green done with quorn peices and lots of rice or chicken as a HEb,
if your groups dont sell them you can also get them from the curryslim website i just got 30 jars delivered for £30 inc next day P&P
I think everyone should find the time to eat properly! i too work full time, i leave the house at 6am and get home at 7pm, and work part time in the evening from home and at weekends! i live on basics during the week like jacket potatoes and other things easy to make! but at the weekend i make a special effort to make curries and other recipes! I find that this is what keeps me motivated to continue with this eating plan, remember its not just a diet, its a change in life so efforts should be made.
I would certainly never eat a jar again, real cooking tastes so much nicer.

for a quick veggie curry i used left over veg from sunday's roast and put a tin of chopped tomatoes in a pan with some onion and curry powder reduce it down a bit and then add the veg.. voila!! so quick and so easy free too which makes it even better
i have served this before with a grilled chicken breast and i was stuffed!
It only seems kinky the first time.. :A0 -
Well of course it does! But different people have different priorities and there are times in most of our lives when a jar is a good standby, I am a SAHM so plenty of time and no excuse not to cook from scratch but I usually have one "emergency" jar, even if our electricity goes off I can brown mince on the top of my woodburner and add a jar and we have a dinner. That is about as far as cooking on it goes but I have done it once and living in the sticks I have to be prepared for any eventuality. It is like planning for the blitz in our house with lots of matches and candles and baked beans or anything else that at a push could be cooked on the stove. Doesn't usually go off for long these days but we do get snowed in occasionally too.
Welcome LadyVI
Crispeater got a post in just before me ( I faffed about typing it I admit) so now my reply looks all odd, sorry0 -
I wasnt having a go for using jars lol. i have priorities in my life....
I was just saying my opinion, im allowed that. :rolleyes:0 -
Welcome Lady VI and thanks for the tip about the SW jars of curry paste. I think they would really suit me as I love to just shove a spoonful of paste in with some veg and passata. I don´t really have the patience to cook well lol.
I hope it is going well for everyone.
I am having a good day (only 6.5 syns so far) so will award myself an angel. :A
Hopefully I won´t have to edit and remove it later lol.24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)

can we talk a bit about doing budget-friendly SW please?
I've been doing SW for 10 days and I'm spending more on groceries than i should.
My downfalls are fromage frais, mullerlights and especially Alpen Light bars.
Of course i could just not buy them but they really satisfy my craving for sweet stuff."Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

Muller lights are nearly always on offer somewhere - Tesco at the mo. My bugbear is Babybels - they're lovely and handy for lunch boxes but £2 for 12! This last us 2 days although I've tried to cut us down from 3 a day to 2 to save money but we're allowed 3!0 -
Hi nps, totally agree on the finances side of things. First off bin those horrid mullerlights. Go buy a huge tub of very low fat/fat free plain yogurt. It'll taste a little sour after all those sweeteners so you may want a teaspoon of honey on (YUMMMM!) or maybe a teaspoon of jam?? but you'll soon get used to it with fresh fruit.
Alpen light bars - not tried em myself - dont s'pose anyone has any recipes for low syn flapjack or cereal bars we could make oursleves? I'll have a little hunt through my books and a google on that one i think.
I did find a recipe for a couscous 'cake' or loaf which looked interesting - anyone doen anything like that?
I have noticed that I'm having waaaay more dairy than normal - dicovering bran flakes again hasn't helped! - may look into using soya milk again as I used to use it all the time and loved it.Piggypoints - 207+£10 * Quidco - £95 * Tesco - 1095 * Sainsbugs - 4237I SHALL be debt free!!!!!:D
