thats a good idea, with the post it notes, there are just some things i can't find yet, and its frustrating. packet rice for one, (like the uncle bens bang in the microwave ones) gave up and went on line in the end, lol. i know it must be in there somewhere, just no idea where yet. i do like the branded free foods being together though, although i have a free food book in my handbag anyways, so everything is in there. i took it to bed the other night and fell asleep before i read much, so i may need to look at it in day time.

Anyone got any hints for lunch on a red day excluding salad - its not the warmest of offices or outside for salads yet! Preferably as free as possible - soup is my other option but a HEB
- I have a microwave and a kettle at work. I have lamb or beef mince to use up if thats any good?

If you have a microwave, you could take a cooked lamb dinner, and some gravy granules. Or what about cooking an omlette or scrambled eggs, and having some chopped ham with it and warm it up in the microwave. Also, you could take some fish or what about chicken satays and warm them up.
You could make a chilli with the mince and try the cauliflower rice I mentioned last night
You sound like me, I really struggle on a red day, but I want to keep trying to alternate. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Hi everyone
I joined last night and I am completly baffalled as to what I am meant to be eating and not eating?????
I've started off on a red day, so if anyone can help me then that would be great.
Thanks:A this web site is heavenly :A0 -
Chilli! I'm so daft! I have Quorn chilli in the freezer, but could make a red day batch! Lamb dinner is a bit too adventerous for our office/microwave! Didn't think about a pre-cooked omlette - would it taste ok?
I really don't like red days (except breakfast!) but have to give my body a bit of variation though my food bills doubled! :eek:0 -

What have you had so far? This will give us an idea of what Healthy Extras/Syns you've already had!
On red, pasta, rice, potatos, sweetcorn, parsnips, peas are HEB's or synned. Pretty much all other fruit and veg is free.

Skint,
If you plated up a lamb dinner beforehand, you would just need to warm it up in the microwave, and you could take some gravy granules and make up with boiling water from the kettle
Must admit, I haven't tried reheating an omelette, but you can buy those microwave omelette makers, and have a go at making one from scratch. YOu could pre-cook some mushrooms and onions, and add those once it is cookedYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
