I weighed last night and put on 1 1/2 pounds. Not surprised. I have been picking for two weeks and it has finally caught up with me and bitten me on the bum!!:rotfl: that picking includes the woolworths pick and mix
so im doing a food diary this week and those sas logs.
Im going to route through all my mags and recipe books and plan some yummy meals and try my hardest this week to stick to it as much as possible including the weekends when i often end up with syn overload on alcohol!!! If only red wine was not so many syns
I also got my new food directory last night SO CONFUSING but I think once I have got the hang of it, it will be much better.
i'm so glad someone else finds the new directory confusing, i find it really hard to find anything, i wish now i'd got an old style one, at least everything was in one heading under each brand0 -
Oops I thought flat eric was a man too! Sorry! I remember flat eric, nodding his head in the passenger seat of a car to an annoying tune that if I emember I won't be able to get out of my head for days. Reminds me of my ex, who's since passed away
I can't get my head around the Tesco's book - it's got weird categories!

Hello fellow Slimming Worlders!
Have been on the site for ages but never come across this thread before...
Let me introduce myself.... Am a (lapsed) target member having lost 2 1/2 stone last year..... Went away on holiday and put a few pounds on and just keep edging to within 1/2 lb of my target range but not yet got back into it...
This week I am really trying hard with the super speed foods and scan bran...!!!!!!
Need to shift 3lb this week! Instead of yoyo ing up and down a pound....
Any support and tips welcome...
and yes, I really don't mind the taste of scan bran.... :rotfl:0 -
Hi one step forward
My top tip at the mo is to drink plenty, get swishing with the water as my consultant says every week, its worked the last two weeks for me, 2 and half pound follwed by two pound, i think it does really help get things moving.
second top tip variation, try not to eat the same thing all the time, or more than a couple of times a week. ie don't have baked beans with loads of meals, etc.
third top tip come on here and get the great encouragement everyone offers. they are fab. i hate weigh in day with avengance, i get all het up and worried about it, but i got great encouragement today to make me go.0 -

Im going to get some post it notes and stick them in the places where I know I will be referring the most. I think once I get my head round it, I will find it much easier because when I used the old directory, I was always picking out the free food so its good to have all the free food items in one place etc.0 -
thats a good idea, with the post it notes, there are just some things i can't find yet, and its frustrating. packet rice for one, (like the uncle bens bang in the microwave ones) gave up and went on line in the end, lol. i know it must be in there somewhere, just no idea where yet. i do like the branded free foods being together though, although i have a free food book in my handbag anyways, so everything is in there. i took it to bed the other night and fell asleep before i read much, so i may need to look at it in day time.0

We could start a new one, and put a link to this one in the first post?
Afternoon all, welcome new peeps, and well done to all you "losers"! You know what I mean, in the nicest possible way (I can't put smileys in (or paragraphs) because I'm at work, using an ancient computer, and I also can't thank anyone. I'll make my corrections when I get home later!)
I decided to finish a box of breakfast cereal this morning (and now I can't for the life of me remember what it's called - you'll know, it's instant porridge, orange box, central heating for kids was the ad line). I made a HUGE bowl of it, sugar, milk, the lot, just to get it out of the cupboard. It was "inherited" when my Mum moved house last June, it was out of date then, it's WELL out of date now.
It sat there, skin forming on top while I looked at it, and I could not eat a spoonful. Not one. I knew I'd be scuppering my diet for the whole day and I just couldn't bring myself to eat it, even though it would go to waste.
I put it down the sink. And then I put the rest of the bag where it should have gone last June. In the bin. Then I made scrambled egg with mushrooms, peppers, spring onions, baby plum tomatoes and coriander in it. OMG it was lovely.0 -

Thanks for that.... I know I should drink more but cold water in the winter is not that appealing.... will do my best though... no excuse with the water dispenser next to my desk!
Congrats on your weight loss..... :T
I must admit to being stuck in the same old rut..... Just done a massive online tesco shop after going through my old magazines last night.... Have pledged no baked potato and beans for a week! lol
Frittata tonight as tesco delivery not til after 7pm....
My weigh in Wed morning so a whole week ahead of me.....0 -
one step forward, i don't just drink water, i have a bottle of cordial (sugar free) and drink that, i get bored of water, lol. also i keep old water bottles and fill them with juice and take them with me when i go out, and in the car on the way to work. i find i get more in me that way!!!!!0
