Nessa don't worry please - the first time I did SW I lost 4.5lb in the first week and put on 1/2lb in my second week - I was in floods of tears in class! It just takes your body time to realise whats happening sometimes - I went on to lose 3.5stone in the first 5m so please don't worry. I know its disheartening - I put on (again) last night, but I'll work it off this week! It all catches up eventually so if you stay good it'll show.

    Hi everybody

I've not posted for a couple of weeks but know I should post good and bad. In my 1st week I lost 8 lbs but my 2nd week I totally mucked up and put a pound back on.(the annoying thing was that I was hungry often that week) and I forgot to get the password for the Syns list and guessed a few things based on the basic list. I've been ever so good this week and written everything down (even 2 chips off my husbands plate and a tiny taste of a muffin), checked dutifully on the Syns list and I've not been hungry so when I weigh in tomorrow night I hope I've at least lost something. On the up side my clothes are already fitting better so at least thats something.

Anyway I weigh in tomorrow night so I'll check again tomorrow. Good luck everyone.

  • Is it naughty not to eat all you your HEs? I know from a balanced diet point of view it probably is but I dont do it every day. If iv eaten lots of free foods as my meals & snacks seems silly to eat a Hi-fi bar or something just because I should! Also a question about syns, someone told me they dont lose if they dont use their syns, Im making a massive effort this week to get back on track & by planning my meals etc I have avoided using many if any syns, I dont want my hard work to not work though! Or is it just a matter of waiting until WI & keep my fingers crossed?

PS Im so glad i found this thread!

I have this problem too, I really fill up on free food, I stuggle with HEA as I very rarely have milk and don't always remember to have cheese on something. The HEBs I struggle with lately and find that just to ensure I've had them I have toast with laughing cow before bed sometimes which I think is probably not as good for me really, especially as I'm not even hungry when I'm having it, it just feels liek eating for eatings sake.
Anyway, I do struggle and probably half the time fail to get all my HEs down me. This is probably awful and maybe I should be beaten with sticks or something.

Can we start a petition about the syns online? Its not the most use friendly if you want to search for the lowest syn version of a certain brand/food!

The whole site is pants, not userfriendly at all. A company that size should have a state of the art site. Big boo to SW if you ask me.

HE's are so called because you need them for a balanced diet - they give you the fibre and calcium you need. They will also give you a controlled amount of 'fat' IYKWIM to ensure your body keeps burning more off. If you lived on lettuce leaves - a free food - then you're body will go into starvation mode and you'll stop losing. It'll also get used to the same foods and slow down.

Its fine if I knew how many kcals were in a pack I would - its just they're on offer and I wondered whether to swap them for French Fries but I don't have any to hand.

    Ah, I see. :)

You might get what you need from here. http://www.calorie-count.com/calories/item/75550.html

French Fries seem to be a better bet! The Scampi and Lemon have 195 calories a bag.
  • Been almost perfect this week and have only lost half a pound!! My SC says we lose weight differently and if I don't have a pig out because I am seething quietly... then I should have a good weight loss next week! Will keep you posted...determined not to break it and you lot really keep me going!!
  • Can anyone tell me if I can have rice as a HE B on a red day ? I've checked the book, and it says pasta and potatoes, but I can't find rice anywhere
