I cut out bread completely last time and I lost 3.5 stone in less than 5 months. Might try it again  got to try something!

I've cut out bread this time, but it doesn't seem to be helping me any, lol. mind you i never ate much of it before. so that could be why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I bought the new SW directory, and in there it says the Aldi Romano pasta is syn free on green (all flavours), but when I was at the meeting this morning, there was an empty packet with 3 syns written on it

I have just checked the online syn calculator, and it is 3 syns, so if you have the directory, just be careful. Just had one for lunch, so it's just as well I have already been weighed

  • Hi

It was £6.95 - I originally bought the free foods book which is listed by supermarket, and that was £1.95, but when our consultant told us what was in the directory, I decided it was worth spending the extra £5

It has loads of supermarket ready meals in it which are free on various days, so that will be great for days when I am working

I've had a last Satis yoghurt and a couple of Laughing Cows, but I really want a slice of the banana bread I bought into work for my birthday - its calling to me and its soooo nice and moist........

whats an sas log? never heard of one, lol. seems to be a lot i don't know today.
why not try posting us a food diary each day on here, and see if we can't spot something thats going wrong? if you do i will, then we can pick up on anything either of us is doing wrong.

Flat Eric I don't have much experience of M2M to be honest but I can't see anything obviously wrong. I only did it once when going to a wedding. Will a Hifi keep you full all morning though?

Hello No sadly a hi fi bar doesnt keep me going all morning
I got into the habit of having a hi fi bar each day as my HEB and would either have this as my breakfast or as a mid morning snack (having muller lights for breakfast) but since I have been doing M2M, I have tried cutting down on the Hi fi bars as it takes up a whole HEB or you have to syn it and 6 syns is a glass of wine!

I struggle with breakfast because when I get up, I dont fancy food yet once Im in work and Ive woken up, Im starving but of course then you can't just whip up some boiled eggs and soldiers (not that I can eat much bread and Ive cut down since joining SW) but the range of options that are open to you at home are very limited once you have got into work.

To be honest Im bored of SW and whilst I have no intention of quitting do feel a bit stressed at this constant monitoring of food and of the foods that I cant have. Not that I plan on having a massive binge or anything but just to be able to have what I want when I want and not have to think about weighing this or that would be a welcome relief.

Im guilty of not planning well enough thus meaning I have been sat here all morning starving..... My buttons got eaten on a whim - yet if I hadn't brought any with me, I would have saved myself 4 syns. My treat of the day used to be my glass of wine 6 syns and treatsize buttons 4 syns leaving 5 syns for sauce etc to go with my meals until my consultant told me to reduce my syns to 10 - 12

I struggle to stick to the plan at the weekend - and just want to eat (and drink) what I want without measuring the glass of wine although I know deep down that I am only jeopardising my progress and that overall it will take me longer.

My consultant talks about those events that crop up when you cant stick to the plan and suggests flexi synning meaning that you stay in control but if I have one bad day then it affects the rest of my week. I cant get round this idea that you just be naughty for one day. One bad day means I am ripe for temptation all week!

I am waffling on again !!! but one final question - can anyone offer some quick, easy breakfast suggestions that I can try? i am not keen on cereal so can take it or leave it, can take or leave fruit, miss bread but can do without so what can I do to avoid mid morning hunger panes and the call of the newsagent for a chocolate bar....

    THANKS
