  • Success Express in a nutshell

Each meal choose from both Free Food lists
Fill 1/3 of your plate with whatever you’ve chosen
Fill 2/3 of your plate with Superfree Foods
You can still snack on Superfree Foods all day
    Still choose 4 Healthy Extras
Still take your daily Syns allowance - if Original & Green Syn values are different, count the highest
If you go back for 2nds during the same mealtime, enjoy the food in the same proportions, i.e. 1/3 Green or Original Free Food, 2/3 plate of Superfree Food
If you have a starter or a dessert, make it from Superfree Food or count the Syns

It may help to use 3 identical small plates or bowls to put your food on until you get the idea - 1 bowl for your chosen red and green day foods and the other 2 for your superfree salad or veggies.
The main rule is no building towers :rotfl:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I think on M2M your HEA/HEB have to be HEA/HEB on both days if that makes sense? It always confused me so to be safe I stuck with the standard red and greens.

Thought I'd pop in and say hi, but really not in the mood today - WI tonight and I've put on even though I've been good. Makes me feel like I'll never reach my target - or even halfway down to it at this rate! :(

Catt....you never know, you may surprise yourself tonight. There's nothing worse than trying hard all week and not loosing. At least if we cheat and then put on/ stay the same we know why.

What about maybe trying to vary your food a bit more. Changing your HEA's and B's. Maybe try having 14 different B's throughout the next week.
I think our bodies get used to the same things.

sorry if this doesnt help and i hope you feel a bit better soon...xx

  • Hello
I am a total newbie to this so forgive me if I'm doing this all wrong ,I havent quite worked out what to do.
After reading the posts though I thought I'd ask if anyone has had difficulty losing weight with Slimming World.
I only have green days as I am a Veggie but even though I have loads to lose (3 stone) I only seem to lose a lb or 2 and then nothing.

    Hi Woodley,

Persevere, you will get there and losing between 1 & 2lb is the most you should be losing most weeks, and you will get the thoroughly annoying weeks where you maintain, but I think it was brought up a few pages back that slowly does it seems to have longer lasting effects.

let us know what your daily eating is like, and we will see if we can find out anything thats not right,

I agree with 160. I've got about 5 stone still to lose (nearly lost 2) but mine is slow. I do mainly green, but having done ir before I know it does work (and I know how good being a size 12/14 feels too!)
  • Thank you.
I tend to eat fruit and 28g of branflakes for breakfast ,occassionally followed by a slice of toast (homemade bread) with marmite
Lunch is normally cous cous (Ainsley Harriot) and more fruit
Dinner is chilli /rice or j potato and salad.
Last night was veg chilli (made with quorn, passatta, carrot, celery and fresh chilli ) and brown rice.
To be honest I 'd be happy with 1 or 2 lb if it was consistent but I lost 2 lb the first week then another 1.5lb and nothing at all the past 2 weeks.
I cooked a roast dinner for everyone on Sunday, but I had a j potato and lentil casserole and still no weight loss.
But I will persevere ,I,m off to do the weekly shop in a mo so lots more salad, fruit and veg for me .
I 'm so glad I found this site as I think you guys will help me to keep foused and not give up which is what I feel like at times .

    Hi Woodley,

Do you eat similar everyday? might be worth a fresh look at your book and changing things around, trying different foods and healthy extras, thats what i did last week, and it made a huge difference.
also do you drink plenty of fluids? that can be a big boost,
also what do you have for syns?
also why didn't you have roast dinner? if its green day, loads of potatoes veggies and gravy (synned but still a necessity, lol) make a great green day meal, i would have been stright in there!!!!!
