IIRC Charlies Mum doesn't like spritzers!

I don't mind them, but it seems such a waste to spoil a perfectly good glass of wine :D

Suppose I should give up on the wine completely, but I think we have to have something to be naughty with ;)

Charlies Mum - I've cut down on my red wine too - when offered a glass by OH I decline and just watch him drink it :(
  • One of the girls at my class has given up alcohol completely, and the weight is just dropping off her- she did say that she is missing the sugar content, and has to have some chocolate to compensate.

  • Well done Charlie's Mum!

I'm the same, I love a glass of wine but I've foresworn it completely for the time being, I used to have a glass of red every evening and I'd swear that's how I ended up weighing over twelve stone.

I'm bored stiff at work, my colleague is off sick and appears to have taken the keys to the filing cabinet home with her, so I can't even get on with anything that needs doing, so I've eaten all the food I brought with me.

Having a red day, had my usual banana and plain VLF yogurt for breakfast with a tsp of honey, wholemeal sandwich with Laughing Cow lights spread on it instead of anything buttery, two thick slices of beef and a sliced tomato inside.Planning SW fish 'n' chips for tea, plus the usual fruit and Lasting Satisfactions/Mullers in between. I'm not 100% comfortable with the sweetener but they do the job perfectly when the munchies strike, so I'm not going to worry about it for now.

I raided Somerfield yesterday, came home with four packs of LS and six Mullers, mostly toffee (which I suspect DH will scoff before I ever get near them).

He then went to work to get some supplies from their on-site shop - he works at the factory that makes a lot of desserts for Tesco and other major stores, such as sponge puddings, treacle tarts, apple lattice pies, lemon meringues, and some of the most sinful chocolate concoctions you ever put a spoon into. They also make custard, so my fridge is now groaning at the seams and I can't eat half of it!

    NOT FAIR!!

To be honest I 'd be happy with 1 or 2 lb if it was consistent but I lost 2 lb the first week then another 1.5lb and nothing at all the past 2 weeks.

Hi woodley, something similar happened to me. I lost 10lbs in the first two weeks, then nothing, then put on a pound! I stuck to the plan all that time so was very disappointed.

I decided to stop following the plan two weeks ago, and without trying very hard I've lost a further 5lbs. I think that although I was sticking to the plan, I wasn't filling up as much as I should have on free foods, and therefore wasn't taking in enough calories. I think this can happen, especially if you have quite a bit to loose, as I do. Now I am eating what I want - obviously not stuffing my face with choc and biscuits, but I'm not worrying about how many HEs I've had, or whether it's a green or red day. I'm just having what I want but being sensible. I know I am taking in more calories than I was on the SW plan, and the weight is now coming off again.

SW will work, there's no doubt about that, but I think you do really have to eat plenty of the free food, and it just didn't suit me. I would rather have a small portion of something I would really like than, for example, pick on cold chicken all day.

Good luck with it, I'm sure you will get there if you persevere.

    peachy

you are not to give up. i won't let you cos you didn't let me when i had a carp week and maintained even though i'd been really good..
if you can't face class do it as some on here do and do it from home.
go back to thinking about why you wanted to lose weight and start from there. your weight will fluctuate being on nights sometimes and not at others, it won't know where its coming from.
as for the girl who weighed you, she should have shooed the others away, we have a chair the people waiting to be weighed have to queue up at so no one is too close to you when you are being weighed.
come on peachy, give it another week, like i did and look at my weight loss last week. you can do it and you know you can, plus your luckier than most you got all of us to support you. i know you can do it!!!!!!!!!!

    big hugs to you,
