Hi Skint
I am pleased to say that I have been good when I could, even yesterday OH surprised me and took me out for lunch. We went to Harvester and I had mixed melon starter and linguini and chicken for main, didn't eat all so all free on a green day (i think)
so hopefully should be okay aarghhhhhhhh!!

Hiya
The chicken wouldn't be free on a green day, but if you only had a small amount it could have counted as a Healthy Extra B as long as it had no skin / fat on.0 -
i showed my mother in law this thread and she thinks its really great , shes the one who suffers ibs and so dose my friend barbra , shes been told shes not to drink , Another tip for constipation and bloatedness is COLPAMINE PEPPERMINT OIL CAPSULES.You can buy these over the counter at the chemist.
I take Colpermin for IBS ( http://www.colpermin.co.uk/default.htm ) It's really good - the active ingredient is Peppermint Oil.
My main advice is do Not take it after food - you get really bad heartburn. But if you take it on an empty stomach it's really surprisingly effective.
Also, money saving tip - if, like me, you get free prescriptions then your GP can prescribe colpermin rather than you paying the chemist. Or even if you pay for your scripts, if it is prescribed in large amounts it would still be cheaper.0 -

Whole butternut squash
Small celeriac
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
Stock made from chicken Bovril – about 600ml (I normally judge this)
LF Fromage frais
Peel and chop the onion
Peel and dice the squash and the celeriac
Spray a pan with fry lite
Cook the onions until softened
Crush the garlic and add to the onions
Add in the diced squash and celeriac – sweat down a little – for about 5mins – make the stock at this stage
Pour in the stock and leave for around 20mins or until veg has softened
Once ready add to the blender and whiz! Add a “dollop” of fromage frais – I also add a few shakes of Tabasco at this stage
Mmmmmm
That looks gorgeous, thanks!0 -
Oh dear, sorry to be a copycat, but could some kind soul pm me the password for this week? I rushed off after last nights weig-in (3 and a half off! woo!) and in my celebrations, forgot to ask.
Also... someone said there's a syn-free falafel recipe in the syn-free foods book. Does anyone have that handy?
Ta, ta.

Hi guys,
Bit naughty last night - had over 20 Syns when I returned from work! (Ouch!) - TBH, it was still an awful lot less than when I normally binge...so that's a positive, and it made me think about what I was eating.
The curry was really nice, and I'm chuffed how easy it was - problem is the lads want me to make a biggun for my shift next time - LOL.
having a FREE fry up for brunch, then Ainsley's cous cous with grilled chicken & red pepper added for tonight.
Back soon, gotta get me work stuff ready
Cheers you lot
When I go over, I *really* go over!0 -
Well done Aimee and Nessa, it's good to hear of sucess....hopefully keep me mentally tough for the battle ahead and I'm sure it helps to inspire others.
I was asked for my veg. curry recipe, so here goes as far as i can remember.
Fried in fry lite red pepper, onion and garlic for a few mins. Added courgette, and frozen cauliflower. Then added mushrooms and cooked for 5 mins.(Kept on stiring).Poured in a tin chopped tomatoes, and 1 1/2 teaspn med. curry powder and covered, simmering for 1/2 hour. Removed the cover for the last 5 mins to slightly thicken. Served with brown rice, which tastes "nutty", but I found it quite filling.0 -

Thanks for that.
I did take the chicken as a healthy extra in the end (sorry still trying to get to grips with this) and only had 2 strips of it which were seared on a grill.

I fancied getting that book. One of the problems I seem to have is that I used to have alot of creamy sauces on my food and am missing them so thought this book might help.

:hello: Hi all, late signing in today as I haven't been at work, had an Employment Law Seminar instead.
Had two poached eggs and beans on toast for brekkie with sugar free squash, but then we were given the dreaded buffet for lunch - tried to choose wisely () but did have a few crisps and a piece of cake which was scrummy and plenty of water! Anyway, had a Pasta n Sauce when I got in to stop me picking as OH won't be home til 8ish, so just doing some housework now then I'll cook my Quorn Lasagne for dinner.
Might allow myself some garlic bread to go with it as I won't be able to eat from midnight tonight until after midday tomorrow
Well done to the LOSERS earlier today
