  • Hi, the hash browns are finished and eaten.....Unfortunately I did burn the tops whilst posting earlier, but overall, not too bad!
I grated a baking potato, squeezed out the moisture, beat an egg and mixed the them together.
Then added some of my herbs and spices to taste, chilli and coriander in my case, and cooked for 25 mins at 200 in fan assisted oven. Temp probably too high and too quick as the middle was just about cooked - used poaching rings to hold together by the way. Also should have sprayed fry lite on top as well as the base!
Will let you know about the curry after I've tried it later!
    Cheers you lot

    Hi Skint

I am pleased to say that I have been good when I could, even yesterday OH surprised me and took me out for lunch. We went to Harvester and I had mixed melon starter and linguini and chicken for main, didn't eat all so all free on a green day (i think)

so hopefully should be okay aarghhhhhhhh!!

  • Just made rich onion soup from the 100 comfort foods SW book. What a really great taste! I had it with 57g of wholemeal french stick toasted with 28 g gruyere cheese.

Can anyone confirm that the Gruyere cheese would be a H/A choice? thinking the bread is a H/B on either day.

I was feeling quite good with my self as I had fruit and a mullerlight for breakfast, as I was thinking this I realised that I was dipping kids left over french bread (covered in butter) into the soup!!! Sigh soooo good!

    Hiya,

Gruyere cheese is a healthy A choice on Green and Red.

I like the sound of the soup, thanks for that

Can you post the recipe please?

bargainbasement - yes at times! I'm always relieved when I go a few hours before weigh-in! :rotfl:

I'm so convinced that I'm going to starve on my red day I've bought myself some sliced roast chicken when I went to Somerfield at lunch to pick up some Lasting Satisfactions. Its soo yum even though I'm stuffed from the turkey, gammon and bacon sarnie I had for lunch :rotfl: I'd even convinced myself that if I bought the yoghurts at lunch if I got desperate this afternoon (I'm at work) I can havemy mullerlight AND a Last Satis! I'd burst!!!! Still haven't had my fruit yet or an entire can of Diet Coke (I have a pack of 6 under my desk!) :rotfl: :rotfl:

I find linseed sprinkled on my cereal keeps me going if I need it. Either that or scan bran / weetabix !!

I have to remember to drink plenty of water as that also seems to help!
  • Just spent ages typing in the soup recipe and then the kids turned the computer off!!! Going to do it tonight when they are all asleep!

My OH has the opposite trouble! He's never eaten so much freshly cooked food and fruit (his dad is a processed food and pie man!) and can't stop - although he has IBS anyway! :rotfl: bless
