well im so proud of my self...went to the inlaws and while they all had their massive chinese takeawy... i tucked into ........ a huge plate of mixed salad, jacket pot with grated cheese on top , sliced herby (fry light) fried chicken, boiled egg and the pork and bacon patties,... it was sooooo nice and not a prawn cracker or sip of wine touched my lips.. they gave me loads of grief, but then i expected that .
to the lovely person that posted the recipe for the pork & bacon patties .. a massive thankyou as they are soooo nice, i done bite size ones and snacked on them all day, they are nice cold.
i am off to work soon , will be back by 10.30-11ish this morning
im going to have another red day, treated myself to a nice bit of steak so im going to have that with mushrooms, onions and toms

Hi im a newbe to this site but love it.
Im a full time nursing student and started the course in sep 06 I have gained 3stone in weight since starting I am well aweare that its bad eating habbits and shifts.
I lost weight with slimming world in the past and would love to join again, but with shift work this is really hard. Has anyone had a go at the on-line set up.

I get frustrated with my lot, they see how unhappy I am when I cannot find anything to wear. I fell off the wagon early january and am finding it hard to get back on to the plan again.
I have all the family comming around for dinner today. I am on a red day. So...
Slowed cooked lean beef joint in a sauce of tined tomatoes, black pepper corns, carrots, bay leaves, stock made with beef bovril and 1/2 pint of red wine. served with new pots, and veg.
I think it should all be free and the pots are a health extra but, can any one help sin the wine in the pot roast please.
I decided over night that today is the first day of the rest of the year. I got on the scales this morning and I am back up to 15 stone 4 lbs! was down to 14 stone 12lbs in the new year. How quickly the pounds creep back on when you are not watching what you eat!

Oh and Studentgirl, My OH does shift work so hard for me to find child care when I want to go to group. My lovly leader has put me on a shift work membership so that if I miss a week due to his job I do not have to pay that weeks back money. Ask about it at group, also I am a student so I get a student discount!

I have just been and got some shopping in just for me to see me over a few recipes and extra fruit, veg etc..
I've gone and bought muller light yoghurts but they are the layered ones with fruit at the bottom - not sure if these will be free now.
Also, I noticed on the site that you can make an equivalent of ferrero rochers using crushed ryvita and nutella for 1 syn value per ball.. Im going to have a go of making these today but I'm only going to make max three as if i make more i'll eat more

hello all
had a busy day yesterday, but a good one sw wise. i made sw crisps, they are yummy, must try different flavouring next time, just put salt on these ones. then for tea made sw chips in a tray, then cracked in 4 eggs between the chips and baked int he oven (was a recipe someone suggested at class) we had this with beans, and i was so full i didn't want any pudding.
i tried the greek 0% with lemon curd, wasn't very keen, but that could just be me, i'm a faddy eater anyways, lol. i only ever eat banana and custard or vanilla muller lights.0 -

Well yesterday was my "flexi" day as it was DS birthday, in the end I gave in to temptation though and just got stuck in to the cake LOL, I even had icecream in the end as I had bought a big roast (red day) and did SW roasties and veg but it was the joint that would not cook, we managed to eat bits either side that weren't too rare and stuck it back in for a while but I was planning on piling my plate high with beef and when I couldn't I just gave in, I had a glass of red too.
Today was supposed to be right back on the wagon but had to leave home at 8.30 to drive DH to the airport, then I was going to go to Costco. Didn't have time for brekkie before. Of course got to Costco at 10 but this is Sunday so it doesn't open until 11. Typical. DS was hungry again and needed a wee so I went to the Tesco down the road, but they don't have a cafe so ended up finding a Subway and having a cappucino and a chocolate donut. Ooops, then DS demanded a sandwich on the way home and was feeling sick, I think it was all hunger related so I had to stop at a baker and get soemthing and of course by now was hungry myself so bought a prawn sarnie for me on white. I was supposed to be on green today too. So not sure what to do for the best now. I am going to just go red I think and see what I can rustle up for later and assume that the morning hasn't happened LOL. Tomorrow's WI will not be good. I wonder if I did loads of housework if that would take some fat off. And Costco didn't have Alpen Lights and they didn't have 0% Greek just 10%:eek: So I will still need to go and do a shop tomorrow. What a faff. So feeling a bit fed up. BUT I did manage to find some SW recipe books and in very unMSE type way bought all three.:o So I had BETTER make use of them now hadn't I?
Tomorrow WILL be back on track:D0
