Try it and let us know please.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You should already know it works every single time

  • Hi all.

I have received a notice in the post from Apcoa for a charge relating to Manchester airport drop off. I am the hirer of the vehicle and the lease company emailed me a while ago to say they had provided my details to Apcoa when they received the PCN. I intend to appeal using the template provided on this thread (with an addendum to say I am the hirer and keeper for the purposes of correspondence) but when I search for the PCN on the Apcoa website it says it can't be found. I tried searching for it when the lease company originally emailed me as well but it couldn't be found then either. The contravention date was in September.
Should I write to them via recorded post instead? I feel like this might be a tactic to stop you from paying or appealing inside the 14 day window!
  • No it isnt a tactic

Why have you gone to the APCOA website instead of waiting for your NTH to arrive then appealing as hirer? Sounds like you haven't got a NTH yet.

You can only appeal when your NTH arrives. Did the lease company have your up to date address? Hope so.

I have received the NTH in the post and visited the link provided on the NTH. It asks for the ticket reference number and car reg, then says nothing can be found. So I can't appeal, or pay (even if I wanted to!)

    Hi,

     a success story  :):)

used template below from page one to appeal for heathrow apcoa pcn and it got canceled today.

    thank you

    pcn issue date: 05/12/25
    appeal date 19/12/25

"This is an appeal by the registered keeper - No driver details will be given. Please do not bother with your known fishing expedition in an attempt to get driver details to try and get around the fact there is no keeper liability (and never can be under POFA).

Due to this being airport land you will be well aware there is no keeper liability due to the byelaws in force and the fact this is not relevant land.

As there is no keeper liability then liability cannot flow from the driver to the keeper and thus is an auto win @ POPLA. Please therefore cancel the notice or issue a POPLA code where you will auto withdraw

If you waste your time asking for driver details this will be ignored and you will still lose at POPLA if you dont cancel the PCN

So let's save my time and yours and cancel this PCN you simply cannot win this (and you know it)."
