My appeal was three words - No keeper liability.!!
A family member took a wrong turn a few months ago and drove through a chargeable zone. Confused and a little stressed, didn't appreciate that he was required to pay for this mistake - even though he didn't stop to drop off or collect. He didn't know how to deal with the inevitable invoice and so paid it. Makes you wonder how many of these are just paid.....
As a result, we are going to not pay for ten (or so) drop offs/pick ups to even up the score.
It won't make any difference to APCOA of course, but makes us feel a bit better!3 -
Good morning, I received a PCN for the drop off at Stansted. I am not the driver (my partner dropped me off and was out of the zone in 4 minutes and completely forgot to pay). Honest mistake. Do I use the text on page 1 of this thread or is there better text to use? Please advise as I would like to use the most up-to-date winning narrative. Thank you for your guidance.0

And yes you use the text given and appeal as the keeper. Not the driver. Dont bother adding any waffle2 -

So, I have a dumb and dangerous question - Are the airport car parks also covered by byelaws and not PoFA? Could this be used to just park for "free"?0
-
Any land within the airport boundary is covered by byelaws and is therefore under statutory control and PoFA does not apply. However, as the car parks are usually barrier controlled, I am not sure how you would get to “park for free”.1

Hi All - I just wanted to say thanks for the advice in post 1. The keeper of the vehicle appealed using the text for the within 14 days appeal and today received a letter in the post saying the PCN cancelled. Thank you5

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.
Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.
