I am not interested in how much I can save. I am just interested in the quality and the price when compared to other stores.

If everyone shopped like that, stores like DFS would not exist! I have never been in a DFS store in my life and don't intend to do so!!!

    Update!
Leave them well alone, they are a nightmare!
I can't get through on the 'hotline' number so phoned the Birmingham store who gave me the number of the factory.
I spoke to a right rude welsh woman who told me that the discount had already been applied, I pointed out that it says 'save a further £50 off all internet orders'.
She then said 'well I can't help that' and put the phone down on me!
The ironic this is that I would have happily paid the bigger price but now i'm going to cancel out of principal.
Up to you if you want to give them your business but don't expect them to stick to their claims or be helpful when you get a problem. >:(
What is it with me and sofa's?! :-/
    Waddle you do eh?

I don't know how anyone can buy a sofa online without seeing it first, seeing the true colour, grade of leather, 'sitting on it' etc??
I like an internet bargain, fine for your TV's etc but there are some things such as sofa's where it's not possible
I have been to every sofa shop within a 15 mile radius where I live and you are lucky if you see the same design by different suppliers
First of all you have to like the sofa then you can assess it's value for money etc
I have just bought from DFS, they would not give any discount for cash so I took their so called 'interest free' for the longest possible period (4 years) and didn't take the payment protection
I've heard good & bad stories about DFS as I have about other companies and in the end I decided it's just luck of the draw, keeping my fingers crossed that I get a good one
A cynic is a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing.

Firstly, that's fine if you have the time and inclination to spend your free time doing that, personally I do not.
Secondly, when I tried the sofa in DFS it was of course not faded and uncomfortable had it been I would not have ordered one.
It doesnt matter what the colour, grade of leather etc., is with the one in store, that's not the one you are getting.
The one I sat on was beautifully soft and I was told it would soften and improve with age, as I said within a year it was useless.
How I can buy a sofa online without seeing it first? Well they promise a no quibble money back guarantee for 21 days.
If it didnt look like the photo, was not of good quality etc. I would simply send it back, I thought that was a better guarantee than DFS who put better quality furniture in their showrooms than they provide their customers with.
Good luck with DFS, I hope your hard work and research pays off.

Are you spending too much time on the internet ;)
It doesnt matter what the colour, grade of leather etc., is with the one in store, that's not the one you are getting.

Of course it matters, you never get true colours on a computer monitor. There are so many finishes to leather it is impossible to appreciate on screen. If the suite they try to deliver is in any way inferior to the one in store then it won't be accepted.
I tried phoning them yesterday but there was no answer

If I have any problems at least I can bang the door down at the local DFS, good luck on the telephone :P

Lol, OK R Sole, you win!

I did finally get through on the phone and cancelled the order, they say I will have the money back in my account by end of the week, we shall see.
They now admit that the discount doesnt exist!!
What a bunch of time wasters, I have sent the page of their phoney discount to trading standards and will put a warning about them on here as they cost me a fiver by charging me a credit card fee.
I wish I could bang their flippin door down.

I really am not that bothered about the exact shade, I just want a comfy sofa as this DFS one is a mess, for me at the moment I just want a cheap cream sofa, I don't have time to go round the shops, (might cut into my internet time) :P

Good luck with DFS, keep us posted.

Can't you take this up with your credit card company? And refuse to pay saying you don't know what it is and you never agreed to it? Chances are your card company may take the money back from them.

    Re: Sofa Sofa
The whole idea of a 21 day 'money back guarantee' is exactly for the purposes previously stated.
If, for whatever reason the customer is not satisfied with the goods, they can obtain their money back.

Surveys have found that mainly people have ordered the wrong size items as they are too big/small for their rooms. This they can only establish when the furniture is in their room.

As long as any changes are required, and it is put in writing by the 21st day from delivery, Sofa Sofa will comply with any changes the customer requires

Try exchanging furniture after delivery from other stores and you will be told 'tough luck'. You ordered it, you stick with it.

    Re; Greenstuff.

I am informed this £50 discount on the Manhattan range applied to the Cream colour only, and only on internet orders.

    What were you told????????????????
