    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    We bought a velour type suite 19 years ago from DFS, after 2 weeks we noticed some of the velour was coming away. I called DFS who sent someone round to inspect it, the guy was able to pick huge chunks of it away on the 3,2 and 1 seater. He did state the obvious that something was wrong with the fabric and cut a piece away from underneath to send off to the manufacturer.
    DFS contacted us 2 weeks later and said the manufacturer had tested the fabric and could'nt find any problems, and refused to replace or refund and totally disregarded their own guys report.
    Well DFS learnt they should'nt mess with a lady who had just had twins.
    Myself and my husband went to the store and asked to speak to the manager, he said he was too busy and no one wanted to discuss our faulty suite.
    We stood outside the store for just over 3 hours and warned everyone of the shoddy workmanship and terrible customer service we had recieved.
    Eventually the manager(who still had'nt come out) called the police, who in turn had a word with us and laughed and left us to it. The manager eventually came out handed us a check without saying a word and told us we were banned for life.
    LOL like i was ever going back into there!
  • We purchased two leather sofas from DFS last year costing £2200 ,so not cheap.They delivered 12 weeks later and the space between the recliners was wide enough to put your arm through ! they sent someone out and he said they were the worst he had seen so left us with the sofas (we had got rid of ours as no room for them),and reordered them but decided no recliners because of the state of the ones delivered .No phone calls from DFS ,we had to phone them to find out what was happening ,eventually another 12 weeks later they were delivered well lets say they tried to ...they said they couldnt get them through our door !hence taken back ,we phoned them once more and they said they would be taken apart and put together in the house .Once again redelivered ,put together and what a disapointment but by then we had had enough with DFS so kept them .SIX months later the seats are sinking and most uncomfortable ,another phone call to DFS ,another visit from them ...the answer ...they are coming to put different padding in the seats! I am absolutly fed up to the back teeth with DFS and there poor quality sofas !!!!! So all i can say is " AVOID AT ALL COSTS " unless you have money to throw away .Never ONCE have we had a phone call to apologise for all the hassle we have had .Sorry to go on but this company has really annoyed me !!!!!!!!
  • We have just bought two settees from Multiyork. We went to their outlet selling ex-display and cancelled orders, chose one straight away, it was delivered 10 days ago and we are having one made to go with it.
    They seem well made and no pressure from salesman.
    They have several outlet places, worth a visit.
