My switch started yesterday 2nd and due to complete on 9th.  Had nothing from TSB who I am moving from?
I've had nothing from Barclays either (apart from frustration) so I don't think its too uncommon

Another Barclays to Co-op switcher here, waiting with baited breath...Good luck, everyone!

I am glad that Co-op seems to inform you if Barclays have rejected the switch and gives you another chance.

I tried to switch from Barclays to TSB last year. What a faff! I received conflicting communications about the switch and was then out of time to get back on track, IIRC.

Not that it would have mattered.

One of the problems was that TSB had recorded my address incorrectly and therefore it did not match Barclays' records.

Only yesterday, a year and many attempts (online, on the phone and in the branch) later, I finally managed to get hold of someone at TSB in "Complaints" who was able to rectify the problem.

There have been a lot of reports on this thread of Co-Op Faster Payments not happening instantaneously (I know the rules allow them to be completed in a longer time period). Has anyone had a payment in/out that has shown immediately or are delays the usual?
Never been immediate for me.  Always at least a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour.

I definitely wouldn't use Co-Op as my main account.

Payments in/out haven't been instant in my experience, though they never took too long to arrive (45 mins was the longest I can remember waiting even on non-working days). In the last month or two I've noticed they've become quicker though, with the withdrawal I made on Thursday arriving within a minute.

I don't know if payments in have got any quicker though as my payments into Co-op usually only consist £2 each week ready for a moneybox DD to go out and £800 on 1st of the month as part of my ``reward account loop". I usually transfer the £800 in and then go and make deposits into some regular savers from other accounts before logging into Co-op to transfer the money out again but the money's usually been there when I've logged in about an hour later.

I tried to register for online banking today - one of the security questions I was asked was to pick an answer.  The answer was a name but it only used the first 2 letters so I clicked on "none of the above" and so had to call them instead.  Long wait but lady very helpful getting me registered, it was her who told me that they only use the first 2 letters and agreed was not clear.  Anyway we did not make the same mistake when wife registered and did it ok.

Please could you explain this ‘only used the first 2 letters’ thing a little more.  I need to register and would like to avoid the same mistake. Thanks.
  •  Example might be a person you have a joint account with, and the one to pick will be ma for Mathew or ja for Jane. Don't expect initials, just the first two letters of their first name.

Just had a text from co-op confirming switch would complete on 12th as expected, no emails saying not... So far...

Barclays I have closed Blue Rewards (did that in January) and closed Rainy Day Saver, they did it online fine and moved the 3p interest into the main account - this will cover the 2x DD, one due 8th, one 12th - so hopefully the DD on 12th goes through one way or the other

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

My Cashback Rewards is still showing on the app but everything has gone off the online banking, I've been assured - for what its worth - that my only active account is now my current account. If need be I've got every conversation on the app but fingers crossed I don't need them.

Has anyone else completed all the requirements and not had the £100 paid within a few days?

My switch completed last Friday and the necessary SOs / DDs transferred over as part of that. The email I received from them Monday morning confirmed the only things left to do were pay in £1,000 and 5 debit card transactions. I did both of these things on Monday and the debit card transactions cleared on Tuesday.

However still no £100. I'm getting quite concerned after seeing on here how quickly others seem to be receiving the bonus  :/

Are you sure you are not mistaking envy for concern?
No it's genuine concern. The fact that others are being paid within 24 hours of meeting the criteria suggests it is an automated process rather than manual.

A week later and still no £100 would suggest 'the computer says no' but I have no idea why. If I wait the 40 days stipulated in the T&C and my £100 still does not arrive it'll be far too late to do anything about it.
