Is it fair to assume every single application is being looked at manually?

Has anyone who already had an existing account and completed the online switch form had anything to say that the switch is going through (other than the email showing the completed signed Adobe form).  I know some have had messages from the banks they are switching from.  Applied on Tues mid afternoon but haven't heard anything from Coop or from switching bank nor has my wife (we did get the Adobe form emails).

Bit concerning as normally based on extensive previous bank switching experience I would have expected something from one end or another by now.  Also seems those applying for new accounts are getting confirmation of switch but not us existing customers.

If the deal is really being pulled today I might have to get on the phone and make sure its in hand.
At last some indication at least one of the switches is happening as just had a text from the bank being switched to say sorry you leaving.  Nothing from Coop yet though.  Switch happening on 26/01

Same for me. The only communication I had is from the bank holding the account I am switching

Only thing concerning me is that no correspondence from the Co op has used the term 'switch'. I know I filled in the switch details, entered my old bank account/card numbers etc, but didn't screenshot it. Hopefully I'll get a 'go and do one then, see if we care' message off Barclays soon.

I should think so, the Co-op bank is relatively small and quite old fashioned, and also hasn't done this sort of offer that frequently so i guess the sudden influx of applications will take a while to process...just need to be patient😏

just applied - can't wait to be rid of Barclays and I've already done TSB...  earliest it can switch is 9th Feb which is a long way off though!
I hope for your sake that you don't ever use the cooperative bank as your main current account. They truly are the absolute pits. Their service really is off the Richter scale bad.
  • So I just followed the link from MSE email/website, went through the application then hit a confirmation page telling me I’d completed the application, quickly followed by a notice telling me that the switch bonus offer would be ending on 19th Jan (yesterday!). Nice of them to let me know after the fact 😂

I have finally had SMS confirmation for my switch from the COOP late last night.

Sat down this morning to do the switch offer and it looks like it's finished already! Must be the shortest switch offer in history.

  • I’ve finally went for it over Lloyds Bank, as I’ve had enough of their service.

I’m just going to be using it as a secondary account, so I’m not too bothered about perks and the £150 is appreciated!

They seem so far to be a little behind, but at least they still have some digital services. Customer service is okay - very long wait times over the phone but can deal with it as I won’t need help often (hopefully).

However, my son is also really happy that 16 year olds can take part in the offer, so he’s moving from Lloyds too. That’s a first!
