Co Op Switch offer (seen 15th January 2024)

I've just done the Adobe form, and assume that the date submitted and confirmed for that (i.e. today) will suffice. I'm not going to waste time ringing them unless I have to. Which I might if there is any subsequent attempt to wiggle out by Coop and I have to point out the date submitted. But that's not yet so I'll not do so unless actually needed.Shedman said:Has anyone who already had an existing account and completed the online switch form had anything to say that the switch is going through (other than the email showing the completed signed Adobe form). I know some have had messages from the banks they are switching from. Applied on Tues mid afternoon but haven't heard anything from Coop or from switching bank nor has my wife (we did get the Adobe form emails).
Bit concerning as normally based on extensive previous bank switching experience I would have expected something from one end or another by now. Also seems those applying for new accounts are getting confirmation of switch but not us existing customers. If the deal is really being pulled today I might have to get on the phone and make sure its in hand.
And, as I suggested in my post above, there is room for some doubt over whether today is important anyway. Time will tell on that.1 -
I got an email yesterday saying it was approved, the application number was well over 600k so maybe they had a big influx hence both delays and possible withdrawal of offer? Mine did not ask for ID and until I have the account details I don't see the point in getting the app, I will try and register online and apply for the saver account
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I'm an existing customer and completed Adobe switch form on Monday, received text yesterday confirming switch date. Only emails so far from Adobe confirming form completed, no emails from Co-op.1

Was the text from Coop or the bank you were switching from (and if so which bank was that)?RacingDriver said:I'm an existing customer and completed Adobe switch form on Monday, received text yesterday confirming switch date. Text was from the Co-op. "Thanks for switching to The Co-op, your switch will complete on DD/MM/YYYY".Shedman said:

Nothing received from outcoming bank yet.3 -
You have to wait for the current account to be opened before applying for the savings account.Nasqueron said:I got an email yesterday saying it was approved, the application number was well over 600k so maybe they had a big influx hence both delays and possible withdrawal of offer? I already had a Co-op current account (that I opened two months ago with the intention of using as a burner account for a future switch elsewhere). On Mon 15 January I applied to switch another account into the Co-op current account. Yesterday 18 January I received a text from 'Co-optiveBk' saying 'Thanks for switching to The Co-op, your switch will complete on 25/01/2024. Any queries, please contact us on 03457212212'Shedman said:Has anyone who already had an existing account and completed the online switch form had anything to say that the switch is going through (other than the email showing the completed signed Adobe form)1 -

Looks like we have until 16th Feb to request the switch, if we've already applied for the account before cop 19th Jan. Which is good
I've just had my confirmation email that they've approved my application. I applied yesterday at around 3pm I think£12k in 25 #14 £15,140.07/£18k 24 #14 £15,653.11/£18k 23 #14 £17,195.80/£18k 22 #20 £23,024.86/£23k2 -
Had the confirmation email on 17/01 saying approved subject to formalities, then receive a letter today (19/01) dated 17/01 with the suggestion they could still decline it at this point. They also enclosed a current account guide and an anti-fraud leaflet extolling the virtues of being cautious with unsolicited phone calls......had a call from an unknown number yesterday starting 077XX, anyone who got a call from a branch did it actually include the appropriate geographic area code and not just a random mobile number?0
