At the moment I am more fed up this bank with their ambiguos emails.Bazzalona13295 said:
Or just were plain fed up with Barclays.E_zroda said:
This must be because people that switched to Barclays recently were raring to go; as soon as they found an escape route they flooded the Co-op gatesHHUK said:Now confirmed offer ends today:

Anyone else that applied Monday still not had an accept or decline?! Absolutely ridiculous!!!0

Exactly the same for me. Had the email the day of application and received letter this morning.miller said:Had the confirmation email on 17/01 saying approved subject to formalities, then receive a letter today (19/01) dated 17/01 with the suggestion they could still decline it at this point. They also enclosed a current account guide and an anti-fraud leaflet extolling the virtues of being cautious with unsolicited phone calls..
Switch date of 9th February was advised during the application process (earliest date available and I applied on Monday).
Fingers crossed it goes smoothly.1 -
Why not just apply online for the account today and start the switch rather than ringing people up? Least that way it's started and they can't argue you didn't apply in time or didn't initiate the switch in time
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

if this is aimed at me, I explained in an earlier post that I'm not currently in UK and wont be back for a while so I need to 'extend' the 30 days to make debit card purchases for as long as possible, by starting the switch as late as possible......

By the way, can anyone who has had the account opened confirm, do they send account details - sort code and a/c number - by email or only by post?1

Received mine this morning by email

I've received the We're looking forward to welcoming you to The Co-operative Bank letter today which contains the we're completing some final checks blurb but interestingly it contains my account number which I have verified using COP from another bank.steveksullivan said:By the way, can anyone who has had the account opened confirm, do they send account details - sort code and a/c number - by email or only by post?
I think I will wait for the e-mail confirming it has been actually opened before I do anything else though.2 -
Hello again. I am still waiting to hear too. I applied 16th.overspender22 said:Anyone else that applied Monday still not had an accept or decline?! Absolutely ridiculous!!!1 -
At last some indication at least one of the switches is happening as just had a text from the bank being switched to say sorry you leaving. Nothing from Coop yet though. Switch happening on 26/01Shedman said:Has anyone who already had an existing account and completed the online switch form had anything to say that the switch is going through (other than the email showing the completed signed Adobe form). I know some have had messages from the banks they are switching from. Applied on Tues mid afternoon but haven't heard anything from Coop or from switching bank nor has my wife (we did get the Adobe form emails).
Bit concerning as normally based on extensive previous bank switching experience I would have expected something from one end or another by now. Also seems those applying for new accounts are getting confirmation of switch but not us existing customers. If the deal is really being pulled today I might have to get on the phone and make sure its in hand.0
