Has anyone initiated a switch as existing customer having received a bonus before for referring someone and had that clarified before with Coop for eligibility?0

My switch is scheduled to complete on the 26th. Still no email or text from the COOP about it, but I had both of these from the bank I am switching from.

Reading the requirements for the 5 debit card spends I cannot see anything excluding debit card deposits to savings accounts. I was thinking of using Yorkshire Building Society/Skipton for that like the TSB offer.

Not sure about YBS, but Skipton are known to take a bad view of repeated small deposits/withdrawals, and have sent letters warning of account closure if it continues.1 -

I applied 2 days ago and still waiting. I only closed one with this bank when the Barclays offer ran so ot sure if that will go against me.0

I applied on Monday for the Co-Op account and got the stsndard 2 emails the same day. Today I received a phone call from a lady at one of my localish branches about my application, advising me that they were withdrawing the product tonorrow snd wanted to get my account set up for me. She asked if I was doing a switch, even though I entered all the switch details during my application. She couldnt access them so had to take down the details again and said that she would get one of the personal bankers to call me back to get the account set up. Shortly after I did get the call and I gave them a user name to set up online banking and he emailed me a temporary password so that I could register for online banking. He also advised that to get the additional £50 that I would need to open a savings account, which he did for me over the phone.I have now logged in and my current account is there. I also set up the app. The savings account will appear after 24 hours.4

The local branch staff sound helpful, but if all the information has been provided online they should be able to get on with it without the need for a (potentially inconvenient) phone call.

I am in the (unusual?) situation of wanting my switch date to be as late as possible (currently abroad and need the 30 days to use the debit card to run into early April....). Someone above said the application 'ignored' their switch start date request. Can someone confirm that you can specify the switch start date during application?
