Those lovely bit are really, really lovely and well done you for recognising them.
You hear so many horror stories about families turning on each other in the nastiest ways when someone dies, and often especially so when there's a step child and step parent involved. That you and the SSs get on well and are a united not to mention speedy front, is a real credit to you and Mr Redo x8 -
Sending you a hug and a hope your heating stays firmly on !So cold !DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
Doing the paperwork to send back my Dad's driving license felt really hard - definitely one of the hardest things to do, somehow. I absolutely feel you on how those small things can feel disproportionately tough.
My Christmas cactus is also covered in buds and will shortly be looking her glorious glamorous self - I shall definitely think of Mr Redo when I look at her now!
Those recipes also sound delicious by the way - I'll be looking forward to hearing about your refinements and taste testing!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I collected all the things that most strongly reminded me of my Dad and put them away safely. It made it easier to let go of the rest of the stuff.I also had a small ritual of lighting a candle and looking at photos or drinking a glass of wine. Feeling the grief was important to me but it threatened to be overwhelming so the ritual tempered it a little and gave it some structure.10

Thank you (as always) everyone. It really does help, because on a face to face people I know well support basis I only actually see our two DC who need the support from me. Easier to give when you are getting so I am very grateful.
Business bank promptly closed - and a few pounds for the closing balance has arrived. Once I have the statements I will be able to start the ball moving on closing the listed company. If I trade again it will be as self employed rather than as Ltd Co. The other outstanding bits (his current account and PBee) are edging forward slowly but a couple of weeks away from hard cash in both cases.
Something wrong with my glasses prescription so back in for a retest on Monday. Is it just me who struggles with is it clearer 'now' or 'now'? I have no mental imaging so this is very hard work for me.
I am very tired after a few nights poor sleep and early wake ups to defrost my car and move it before the workers arrive. My kindle unltd offer was 99p for 3 months, pleased with that.
Cloakroom swished & swiped, and the back hall floor given a quick wipe over with my flash speed mop (waves at @KajiKita).

@redofromstart - definitely not just you! I had a much overdue eye test today and had to get her to slow down the is it clearer part as due to a medical condition my brain's processing time is slower that the average 'hoomun' OH went in after me for his test and laughingly asked her if I'd been hard work! I had to remind him once we'd left that on one level it's really funny and on another extremely rude! The kicker is that after five years, my eyes have barely changed, while his have deteriorated to the tune of 750 pounds for a new pair of veri-focals!!!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!!
