Hmmm....the TD people also sell factory second cashmere gloves on the outlet too....darn, wish I'd not seen that now as I sit here in the office with freezing hands...

Redo! Loving the new diary, the title and most of all the concept of "Enough" - because after all, what more do we need, and absolutely to making sure anything more than "enough" gets squirreled away to work for our future selves!

Needless to say, I'm subscribed. I may be slow on the uptake with a new diary, but I get there in the end!

Do the fingerless gloves keep your whole hands warm? It’s my fingers I have trouble with, they’re always freezing cold.

The theory is that they do, as they ensure your wrists are toasty warm and that helps with the fingers. I'm going to try and find a suitable crochet pattern for a pair I think as I have yarn and can avoid being draw into spendy temptation. Presumably the crocheting will also help to keep my fingers warm as they will be active!

Lucky you! 😂 Don't feel obliged, you're not missing much!

Sun Addict - what EH said - the warmth around your wrists keeps your fingers warm, and it does work, definitely.

  • Sorry if I led anyone into temptation on the fingerless gloves front.  I have a few with small holes in that I need to repair before they disintegrate which is why I prefer the more durable ones.

I can justify my temptation as my favourite pair suddenly developed holes.  I blamed moths and checked the rest of the glove basket until I remembered that at one point a furry, sharp toothed, puppy shaped moth had pinched them.

  • I find that they make a huge difference to my poor circulation cold fingers @Sun_Addict and I haven't had chilblains on my fingers since.

i notice that the ebay shop is empty, probably because they have their regular seconds sale on the main website. £16 for 3 pairs of cashmere seconds in random colours. Not sure if there is P&P on top.

  • The real moths sadly quite like my few remaining bits of cashmere @RosaBernicia, but our lurcher is also a huge fan of pinching gloves.
