Definitely right to give a quick spruce up to a window especially if you have a tin of paint hiding about the place already.
It is a mood booster. The days are getting longer and brighter, and you see that sill twice a day when you open/ draw the curtains
You are doing so well with shopping from home to make things nicer.
I am still clearing my DHs mountains of stuff. Yesterday I removed every book of mine from the bookshelves, so his were tidy. It is more important to be less cluttered than for me to keep hold of stuff . Will zapp them today to see if they are worth anything.
I am sure there are a whole herd of hoarders quietly living disguised as 'crafters' out there.

Your bedroom sounds like it is coming together and being a comforting space for you. Good call on starting there and then you can expand out from there.Could one of the progeny be paid to slosh some paint about in the en-suite just to freshen it up a bit?KKAs at 15.07.25:

I love teal so your new look bedroom sounds lovely to me. And as for that lick of paint in the en suite - if you have time and energy, why not? Or make a new focal point with a mirror or vase or something to refresh the look.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

The ensuite 'to be' is an incomplete stud wall with plaster board on part of the bedroom side which partitioned the room years ago, only we never did anymore on it due to lack of funds/time/interest. It hasn't been plastered on either side. The room to be does have plumbing pipes etc as there was originally a sink in the corner, and a bargain bath that has never been fitted. Otherwise it has been a junk and tool store for years. Still trying to decide if I should just remove the work he started and have the then much bigger bedroom plastered, or to have the builders install the ensuite properly. Once upstairs is tidy I will get quotes for both options. I did think that maybe I could put a curtain rail up on the plasterboard, and add some curtains so I don't have to look at it.
Paint wise it would be a topcoat on the bedroom walls, and on the tired window ledges. I might do that once the spare room is fit to use so I don't have to sleep in the paint smell.
Todays energy was used on patio and garage tidying. The patio is much clearer which feels much better. It is a huge space which seems to get used as a dumping ground by everyone, including me. The garage is still a nightmare, more to do on that tomorrow before the electrician comes to try and sort the outside electrics.

Maybe ask an estate agent too for their advice if you're planning on selling the house?
Clearing things out is a good idea, it will help bring some fresh energy into the space too.

Definitely get quotes for both bedroom options. There's definitely a trend towards people wanting more bedrooms (when I was looking saw several places with more bathrooms than bedrooms, and all I could think was that it meant a lot of extra cleaning!). If you already have the bath and the plumbing is in place, it might not be a huge expense, particularly if you keep it simple.7
