I hadn't tried any of the EA stuff before, but I will keep an eye out for it now. Once I find something that works I tend to stick with it and just keep an eye out for good offers on it. I had a longstanding Estee L habit, but they discontinued my favourite Idealist (after what must have been 25 years of using it) so not any longer, although I do like their daywear tinted moisturizer. Always Loccitan for hand and foot cream (shea). Emma Hardie moringa balm for face cleaning. I wouldn't have said I was high maintenance but then I read that back and realise quite how much I spend but on a small number of good products.
I am still working my way through frozen stuff, the garage chest one is switched off now (and I haven't done anything about fixing the electrics to the garage yet) and everything is crammed into the small fridge freezer. The One Who Doesn't Eat loves the baked pretzels, and the frozen part baked ones are back in MrL this week - essential that I make space. A huge gammon came out to defrost last night and will feed us for the next few days. I just need to put some chick peas in to soak for the fussy one.
I have another pesty mild cold (had only just stopped coughing from the nasty early January one) and am dizzy when I stand up. Annoying because it isn't raining and I had garden based plans. I have instead lit the fire (ooh lovely said Evil who immediately took up residence in the best chair) and will do nothing much more today in the hope that it eases off for tomorrow, and isn't the start of a nasty one again. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Sending love for the tears. It seems DH died 18 months ish before Mr Redo. I had an advantage in that he left very gradually.
You are doing brilliantly and I hope you know that.7 -
Hope the cold eases off quickly. You are making great progress."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

There is something nasty and local going round LEshire. DH got it 3 weeks ago, still coughing at night. Take good care of you.
I am still using the last tubes of hand sanitiser when I am out and about or working. This thing seems to take weeks to get over.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Thank you all. Feeling a lot better today, I am hoping that our horridly lingering early January cold was the current LEshire one and we haven't got a new wave.
The F&V stall was in the village despite the persistent rain, so I walked down and got a good selection. I have actually eaten nearly everything I bought on Friday which is rare for me.
Milan was posting about the cost of the green bin, and Greenbee was filling hers, and in the end I talked myself into filling them both in the rain rather than miss the collection altogether. Soggy but satisfying. I also have another 'big bin' booked for next week - our council do a 4 x normal bin sized drop off and collect service for a small fee - so I need to start up on things that need to go again.
The gammon worked really well yesterday, just pot roasted lid on in an inch of veg stock for a couple of hours before removing the skin and fat, adding a drizzle of honey and putting it back in for half an hour. Had some sliced with lots of green veg, oven roasted corn on the cob and cheesy mash. Also featured in an omelette for late breakfast, with mushrooms and some roasted tomatoes.

I'm a bit worried about the amount of F&V you're eating. This virus is clearly something very potent...8

Is the good eating a side effect of the EA lipbalm?!
I was pondering putting it on the birthday wishlist but I don't think I can cope with being super healthy and super moisturised all in one go 😁6 -
Greenbee, I know, I impressed myself. It helps that I am buying things that I vaguely like rather than whatever is good value, and that DS1 has decided that he actually likes veg.
PIP, if only - I would be delighted with that.
Beanie - its a fairly recent introduction but I think it is a great idea, plus you can add two extra full sized recycling bins, clothing charity collection bags, etc as part of the one fee.
Realistically though I can't see that I have much choice but to eat better when a week of eating everything I fancied (plus the odd prosecco) added up to a 6.5lb gain and some painful IBS/Fibro consequences, despite all of the exercise. Green salad stuff and an apple as part of lunch today. I have some strawberries out warming up for later - they actually smell like strawberries so I hope they are nice. There is some 5% mince that needs using today so either open burgers with wedges, salad and HM coleslaw, or cottage pie, broccoli and carrots as I have lots of too small for jackets potatoes to use up.
Rain again here, so I need to do so downstairs tidying as people may invite themselves over after the tree planting thing. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
