Oh no…..you’re doing the right thing though. It’s not good to see them suffer…doesn’t stop you missing them like mad though.
Fingers crossed for the care fees for your dad 🤞

Just catching up after being away for a week.  So sorry to hear about your dad and your cat.  Hopefully your dad is being cared for properly now. My mum spent a lot of time in a nursing home at the end of her life....10 years actually. But because they had savings of less than £23K, it was all paid for and dad was allowed to continue living in the house and we didn't have to sell it.  Hoping they sort out your dad's fees soon.

What a very hard time with your Dad's condition, can you set up a little emergency fund to cover a taxi if needed? Meanwhile take comfort in that you made him happy by arriving to see him.

You must be missing your cat and B, and it's hard to see the other cat confused at being without its companion. I do know what you mean about it being easier for them to go while at home where possible, though. I remember my Mum telling me how peacefully her cat passed, and that was also when the vet was able to go to the house.

I hope you get some rest tonight.

Sorry to hear that obl.  Sounds like moving would have been a huge stress for him.  Try not to worry about no one being there, it appears some folks don't like to go when family are there and will wait till they are on their own.  Glad he was able to share a joke with you last time you were in (or one of the last) Sending hugs through the ether to you all
