You really do have so much to cope with at the moment, you will be glad when this year is over. As you say, though, your Dad is free of dementia now, and your daughter has the help she needs for her situation.
I hope the funeral goes as well as can be. You've been there for your Mum and I'm sure she knows that, and it sounds as though she will understand if you have to keep a distance for a short while because your sisters are there.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

It's so difficult when family members fall out. You've always been there for your mum so best to give a wide berth to the sisters you don't get on with for duration of the funeral. I hope it goes better than you think.
I'm glad DD2 got some help, I hope she feels better soon. Also pleased to hear you've got an appointment, hopefully you'll start to get some treatment.
What a year it's been for you, surely things will start to improve from now on. Take care xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I agree with the others, what a lot you've had to deal with this year. xx"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

Now OBL, you attend your Dad's funeral with your head held high & if any of your sisters say anything to you which is unpleasant or unneccessary, I suggest you keep tthe moral highground by saying firmly, "This is neither the time or the place" & walking away. You will have your daughters there, so won't be on your own.
This is a situation we will almost certainly be in at some point in the future & have already planned to say, "I am not going to rise to the bait or get into any argument because it would be disrespectful".
You really have had a lot to deal with this year.

I will definitely be glad to see the back of 2024. Mum will understand if I keep my distance, she is probably quite worried about it though which isn’t fair on her at the moment. I’m going to have a chat with her when we meet to set some expectations so she knows there won’t be any drama ( at least from me )Cherryfudge said:You really do have so much to cope with at the moment, you will be glad when this year is over. I will definitely be giving them a wide berth. It always used to be my Dad who was at the center of any family rows so maybe it will be okSun_Addict said:It's so difficult when family members fall out. Hmmm I have to agree it’s not been the best year 😟jwil said:I agree with the others, what a lot you've had to deal with this year. xxOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
That’s my plan 😀 I will be keeping away from them if at all possible and will definitely not be rising to the bait. My personality is such that I can do that but theirs might not allow them, we will see on the day. I do not want anything to happen that will upset my Mum 😟foxgloves said:Now OBL, you attend your Dad's funeral with your head held high & if any of your sisters say anything to you which is unpleasant or unneccessary, I suggest you keep tthe moral highground by saying firmly, "This is neither the time or the place" & walking away.
