DD1 came and picked me up today because we had a phone call to pick up the cats ashes from the vet. Sadly she has had some awful news about her sister in law who has just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer 😢😢 she is only in her late 30s and has two children aged 4 and 1, she has to have surgery next week and chemo after. It was such a shock to find out and poor DD was so upset. I just feel sick thinking about the poor family 😟 I hope they have caught it early but I know this cancer is notoriously hard to diagnose and is often not found until it’s too late. I’m just praying she has been diagnosed before it’s spread anywhere. They are all trying to be as positive as possible and she has asked DD to knit her a bobble hat for when she loses her hair🥹
Anyway we went into town because I needed chicken supplies so I treated us to a coffee and cake and we had a browse around the bookstore. I did some housework when I got home and a load of washing which I have hung out and I’m keeping my fingers crossed it doesn’t rain. It was really windy here today and I could have kicked myself fo not doing it this morning.Tomorrow I am meeting a friend for coffee and a catch up then I’m going on into town to meet DD2 to go back to hers for tea. I was going to stay the night but I forgot I need to feed the cat his tea and I think he’s missing his mate so don’t really want to leave him all day and night. He has become really clingy since I spent the night at my mums so I don’t want to upset him again 😀 he’s taken to sleeping around my neck if I’m sitting on the settee which is fine but I can’t lean forwards to pick up a teacup off the coffee table because he falls down behind me. It’s quite nice though because he’s like a heated cushion 🙂Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1206 -
Oh that's so sad for DD's SIL."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Really sorry to hear the news of DD's SIL.
Another who's hoping your dad's funeral goes as well as can do. I know they're not nice things at the best of times without the added complications of family difficulties. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Your mum will know who has been there and at the hospital with your dad…..and who will be there afterwards. You sound as if you’re as prepared as anybody can be for whatever drama the day might bring. Be kind to yourself.
What horrible news about dds sil. Positive vibes heading her way….and positive vibes to yourself and family.January spends - £587.583 -

This week has been a bit hit and miss. I was supposed to meet my friend on Thursday but was too ill and I ended up spending the day in bed. I didn’t meet DD2 for tea either. I felt slightly better on Friday so met DD2 then instead, she needed to find a top for the funeral and we did find one in the end , I felt like rubbish when I got home though.
I was planning on a day to recover today but then Mum messaged saying she felt better so could we meet today 😟😟I couldn’t say no so I went into town again. I was almost on my knees by the time I put her in a taxi. I am spending tomorrow at home no matter what happens 😀 I do have some jobs to do but I can potter and take my time. I’m meeting my sister who lives here on Monday to tell her what happened with Dad and have a general catch up because we haven’t seen each other for a while then I will try and have Tuesday at home to chill out before Wednesday. At the moment my limit for walking around is around 1.5 to 2 hours then I’m done in so I need to pace myself. I went to Boots today and bought an adjustable wrist support. I have resisted doing this until now because I’m not sure they are a good idea but I put it on and OMG the relief was instant so I will definitely use it if I am using my hands for typing, knitting or holding something heavy. I knew pressure helped with the pain but I just didn’t want to wear a cumbersome support, this is an adjustable wrap around one so not to bulky. I might have to go and get one for the left hand too. My right arm was so painful this morning I couldn’t move it when I woke up. I had to lift it up with my other hand to get it out of the way. Only a couple more weeks to go until my appointment though and I’m counting down the days.
Im off to bed now to read my book which is a murder mystery that I am really enjoying. I’ve just realised I haven’t shut the 🐔🐓away though so now I have to go out in the dark 😳Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205 -
