I think hearing things together at the same time can be useful, as nobody can subsequently claim they were told something different or not told anything at all.
I hope it goes well.

Thankyou for all the lovely comment everyone I hope you don’t mind if I don’t reply individually, I’m just so tired😟
Dad was much worse today and slept the whole time we were there as he is just exhausted. The meeting went ok. The doctor went through all of dad’s physical problems and basically told us that he is now too ill to be cared for at home. He is not eating at all and is only drinking small amounts and this morning he refused his medication. They explained that he needs care overnight and mum said she could manage that so I stepped in and said no you can’t ,they then explained what it would entail and she agreed she couldn’t do it. The plan is for Dad to be discharged to a nursing home asap, he is now having end of life care so they are stopping unnecessary medications and just giving him the things that will make him comfortable. My sister didn’t try to speak to me at all during the meeting but I did asked her a question and she did answer me. So now we just wait to see where they will send him. We have asked that it be in the same city as they could literally send him to the next town over if that’s where the care is but they said they know mum has no transport so they will try to make sure he is close enough to get to on a bus at least
Mum wanted to go for a coffee after the visit so we went into town and had a drink there then I put her in a taxi to go home, I was halfway home on the bus when she called me to say she had lost her wallet with all her and dads credit cards in plus £300 in cash😩😩 why she was wandering round with £300 is a mystery to me. The cards have all been cancelled and I have to phone round places tomorrow to see if it’s been handed in anywhere.I am off to bed now and will hopefully sleep a bit better now that Dads care has been sorted outOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1207 -
Good to read there is a plan in place for your Dad and that your Mum realised she wouldn’t be able to cope with the care needed. I hope a suitable place can be found quickly. But oh dear, that phone call from your Mum, just too much on top of everything especially as you haven’t been well either. Fingers and toes crossed someone honest has found it and handed it in.2
