So good to hear from you…even though it wasn’t with the best news.
Sorry that you’ve been so unwell. You’ve had a roller coaster of a ride in recent years with your health. Rest is the best thing you can do for yourself. Take care and pop on, even with just a wave when you can, as you’re missed…..it’s worrying when ‘friends’ disappear.Hopefully once they find out exactly what’s happening they’ll be able to set up a treatment programme and make it more manageable 👍👍January spends - £587.583 -

Hello everyone im just checking in with a life update as I’m feeling a bit more with it today .
So yesterday my dad was taken into hospital because his gp was worried about his breathing. He’s been ill for a couple of weeks but my mum thinks he’s putting it on to get attention so just left it. I told her he was ill but she won’t listen to me 🤦🏻♀️ Dad is at the point now where he just doesn’t want to be alive anymore, he was refusing to get out of bed or eat and mum wouldn’t let him eat in bed so he just went hungry if she couldn’t get him up. Thankfully the gp decided to do a home visit and realised he was actually ill.I have struggled to know what to do about the situation to be honest so I’m glad he’s now somewhere being looked after. The ambulance man told mum she quite clearly couldn’t manage him so he was going to mention it when he took dad in and I am going to mention it when I go and visit. I phoned the ward this morning and he has eaten a very small amount but is on oxygen and antibiotics. They are going to get the dietitian to have a look at some supplements for him. He has also lots a lot of his mobility so they are worried about that. I don’t think it’s safe for him to go back home and I’m going to tell them that when I go in.
Theres a part two which I will post in a minuteOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,080.1 Owed = £11,549.94 -
That's such a difficult situation with regard to your parents. At least your Dad is getting good care now and your word has to count for something, especially as other medical people are saying the same thing.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Sounds like such a stressful situation with your mum and dad.
Is your mum in denial about how ill he is?
The stress won't help how you feel either.

Thank goodness for a good GP. Most of them are. Some of his problems could be solved just by food & adequate hydration. I guess mum has not been giving him an hourly cuppa. I suggest when you visit him you push the hydration. I know that was the only possible complaint I could have at my mother's care when she was in hospital. Not strictly true as every time she went in a doctor would say she has dementia, yes of course we know, & the doctor would ask why she hasn't got a diagnosis.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly.
hope that your parents get the support they need and that your dad perks up a bit with some hospital care, nutrition and hydration.3
