  • Sounds like such a stressful situation with your mum and dad.

Is your mum in denial about how ill he is?

The stress won't help how you feel either.

    X
It’s very stressful . Mum just thinks he’s exaggerating his symptoms and is doing it for attention

Thank goodness for a good GP.  Most of them are.  Some of his problems could be solved just by food & adequate hydration.  I guess mum has not been giving him an hourly cuppa.  I suggest when you visit him you push the hydration.  I know that was the only possible complaint I could have at my mother's care when she was in hospital.  Not strictly true as every time she went in a doctor would say she has dementia, yes of course we know, & the doctor would ask why she hasn't got a diagnosis.
Hourly cuppa, I don’t think so they have breakfast with a drink then a coffee at 11 and then possibly one in the afternoon

Sending hugs, OBL. I'll keep a look out for you posting but right now you have other things to cope with. Still, lots of us are thinking of you.

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!
