I think a lot of things became more noticable during that first lockdown.  I know my friend showed some signs then which are barely noticable now when he can keep busy.  Of course it could also have been that I didn't see him properly for a few months so any changes were exaggerated.

Great news about the new radiators!

I can’t wait for my radiators to be done. I’m always worried that the current ones are going to spring a leak one day when I’m out or overnight while I’m asleep. They are the original radiators that were put in when the house was built so they’ve been around for a long time.
I actually posted on my diary that I thought Dad had the first signs of dementia in I think September 2018. He was being weird back then so I reckon that’s when it first started. He then had Covid when that came around and I think that made him worse
    Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,120

I remember now I’ve read it that he was having problems, he had a funny episode where he lost his voice and was crawling round on the floor one night and after that he wasn’t the same. I’m wondering if that was a mini stroke, he wasn’t seen by anyone so we will never know. After he had Covid he seemed to get much worse and that’s what I remember so I was thinking it was only in 2020 that he had problems

Her birthday presents arrived yesterday and they are really nice prints. The post man left them in my green wheely bin though 😳

Something similar happened to a friend of mine. I sent her something special delivery and I saw from the online tracking that it been delivered. A couple of days later I was speaking to her and she didn't mention receiving the parcel  so I asked her and she said she hadn't had it. Later she discovered that even though it would have gone through the letterbox the postman had left it in her recycling bin but hadn't left a note!

Good news on the radiators; you will nice and toasty next winter. Mind you, they might be handy now; it was only 3.5 degrees here at 09.15 this morning and I'm in London.

Luckily the bin was emptied last week. He did leave a note but I just thought it was a weird place to leave it 😀

Ive got radiators now but they are really old and getting rusty round the valves so are likely to leak soon. I can’t wait for the one in the bathroom though as there hasn’t been one in there for years and it’s freezing in the winter 😀

Woken up gain today at 6.30 am by the cat 😡 I’ve told him his 9 lives are going to run out pretty fast if he keeps waking me up. He meows really loudly then gets the zoomies for ten minutes. If he does it tomorrow I’m going to deposit him in the garden.

DD 2 came over today so I cooked lunch and we had a nice catch up. She brought the two  dresses over that she has bought for a wedding in May they are both really nice but she likes one more than the other and so did I but it’s a bit too small at the moment so she is trying to lose weight so she can wear it. I think if she lost half a stone it would fit really nicely. She is very determined so will hopefully succeed.

I have been reading my old diary again and I’ve just discovered I haven’t had a tumble dryer since July 2019. I was unsure if I manage without one but I haven’t replaced it yet 😀

The new neighbours have been moving in all weekend and it’s been blissfully quiet so far despite there being four children in the house. They all look to be school age so won’t be around during the day anyway during the week. I am hopeful that they will be ok .

I’m off to bed now because I’ve got to get up early tomorrow to be ready for the plumbers.

You wheelie bin story reminded me that a postie once left me a parcel in a compost bin that was designed to look like a beehive.

So if he thought it was a compost bin - why put a parcel in it?
And if he thought it was a bee hive...?

P.S. Happy new radiators! It's so nice getting things like that sorted. :)
