The Diary Of Onebrokelady Aged 60 And A Half

I think there’s something wrong with me 😳I woke up at 8.30 this morning and actually got up 😀 I didn’t hear any screechy cats and I don’t think B barked. I did sleep well last night though so that’s made a difference.
I went out early because I had run it of cat milk and puppy pads so needed to pop into town to get some more. I walked in because I’ve lost faith in the bus service at the moment. I needed to get out and back as soon as possible and was only gone for an hour and a half.
I had to be at home because DD2 ordered herself a new iPad yesterday and mistakenly had it delivered here. It’s coming from Amazon and she still hasn’t changed her address yet. It was a year yesterday that she got her keys to her flat so in a weeks time I have been living on my own for a year 😳 it’s gone by so quickly.
Yesterday we were supposed to be going to The Swedish Emporium but I didn’t feel too good when I woke up so I cancelled. I went back to sleep for a couple of hours and felt a bit better when I got up. I spent the day chilling out until late afternoon then I went crazy and did all the jobs I needed to do

You definitely need to be feeling fighting fit to take on an excursion to the Swedish Emporium, @OBL!

I forgot to post earlier that my council tax bill has finally arrived and it’s only gone up by £6 so I’m happy with that. I’m not happy that the cost for the police and crime commissioner is more than they put aside for soclal care though 😡 I’m still waiting for my water bill. I’m sure I got an email last year but nothing so far.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204

We still haven’t had confirmation of council tax but at least had water bill confirmation. It’s so annoying when you’re trying to budget 😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I had to get my DS to help me find my council tax bill after having agreed to go paperless. Talk about finding it in the small print! The annoying thing is that I know next year I will have to ask him again, it really was obscure. Though next year they will probably hide it somewhere else. When he found it, it was another challenge to find how to download it. I was even thinking about going back to paper which of course costs them more.

Ive had a lovely day today. I was up early and did all my jobs that needed doing then DD1 came round for an hour so we had a cuppa and a chinwag, she bought me a book I’ve been thinking of buying called The Illusions by Liz Hyder it looks good so I’m excited to read that.
DD2 came over in the afternoon and brought cream tea 😍😍she bought me some lovely pyjamas and a book called The Cloisters which I’ve also been eying up 😊 we had our cream tea then we went for a walk through the fields.
Im now chilling out for the evening 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204
