Yes it has definitely been difficult the last couple of days. So glad you mentioned it as I was wondering if it was my computer or internet. I also wondered if it could be the site being very very busy after the budget.

They've put a banner at the top of all the pages now advising they're aware of the issues and trying to fix them - very frustrating! BiB xDF1

Yes just spotted it.

Mine's been timing out for the last few days. Just this site, everything else is as usual.
Hang on in there everyone, they are probably exercising the messenger pigeons as we wait, and normal service will be back soon.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I gave up this afternoon and went elsewhere 😀
I also spent some time on Rightmove looking at properties that would be suitable as a retirement home. I wanted to save some as favourites but had to create an account but you had to give a reason why, one of the options was browsing Rightmove makes me happy so I put that as my reason 😀
Ive decided that when I do move my preferred place is across the other side of the city. There is a lovely big park with a really good community spirit in the place I would like to move to. The retirement flats over there are 60 and above so I reckon another four and and a bit years here when I will be 65 is when I will look into it. I will probably be working until 67 😳and this place is where my hospital is situated so within walking distance. There is also a nice group of shops and a couple of pubs plus a doctors surgery. It also on the most efficient bus service into the city 😀

That sounds as though it has a lot going for it, OBL. It may be advisable to keep your eyes open and maybe look at one or two in case the 'perfect' one comes up before you're 65!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Forgot to say today that DD1s print arrived from Jordan yesterday and there weren’t any import charges. I had a quick look at it and it’s very pretty so I’m pleased with it. It was very well packaged as well, I had trouble getting into to it.
I also forgot to say about my phone being weird. The battery was on 1% charge all weekend but it worked perfectly ok. I charged it up last night and it’s now showing a proper (I think ) battery percentage. I need to dig the recipes out because it had a 24 month warranty. I’m hoping it’s ok now because I like this phone and don’t want to have to get another one yet
Im back at work this week so 9-5 tomorrow then again on Thursday then I’ve got another 12 days off which I am hopefully to be more proactive with. I had plans fr the last week I’ve been off but not many of them were carried out. I haven’t felt brilliant so that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it 😉Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203 -
Glad you had a nice mother's day.
Retirement flat sounds useful too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I quite like looking at houses too. I don’t want to move yet but always good to keep an eye on options for the future…..we might well end up staying here but it always good to have options. My ideal place is where I used to work as I spend a lot of time going back and forth there. The groups I go to are all around that area and it has a lovely community feel, but the difference in price to where I live now is extortionate- it’s a 7 minute drive on a good day 😳 My other ideal place is packing everything up and moving 300 miles to near ds and gks. I don’t really see that happening though as ds is still around here. Plus the price difference between North and South would make it virtually impossible- it’s nice to dream though.January spends - £587.581
