The Diary Of Onebrokelady Aged 60 And A Half

I went into town to meet DD today despite it being like Armageddon outside π§π¦βοΈππ¨ it was a very unsuccessful day from her point of view because she left the receipt at home for the top she wanted to return and the book that was supposedly waiting at the library was waiting at her local library and not the main one π
I got all my bits so I was ok or so I thought . I got home and checked my prescription and the surgery have totally ignored the repeat request slip I put in for 84 steroids at 1mg each so I can take 3 a day for the next four weeks and have given me one box of 1mg to be taken with a mythical 5mg tablet that I don't actually have π‘π‘that was the dose I was on four weeks ago.
Β Why do they think I asked for the amount I did ,am I just making it up out of thin air....no I'm following the treatment sheet they gave me and surely if my request doesn't match they should contact me like they did last month to make sure I've ordered the right amount then I can explain that no I'm not on 6mgs anymore and I'm on a reducing regime which if they bothered to look at my notes they would see π‘π‘ so now I have to go back to the surgery and sort that out and when you're feeling ill that's not something you want to be doing.
We had a lovely catch up though and poached eggs on toast for lunch which were perfectly runny. I'm just looking outside now and trying to talk myself into taking B out for her evening walk, she is currently fast asleep so won't appreciate being dragged out in the rain and wind.
I don't know if it's the weather but apparently there have been widespread power cuts here today, I think know if mine has been off but everything was working when I got home.Β
My legs have been hurting all day but feel ok at the moment. I'm hoping they are ok for work tomorrow otherwise it's going to be a long dayΒOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = Β£17,630 Paid To Date = Β£6,736 Owed = Β£10,8943 -
That's a big nuisance about the prescription. I hope it sorts out quickly, and the legs behave themselves for tonight and tomorrow.Β
Lunch sounds nice.
Β I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

We've had power cuts recently. Unfortunately, it has broken my TV and I've been advised I need a new one. Its got a coloured screen and that is all.Β
Sorry your Dr's have messed up your prescription. I've noticed recently there's been a huge issue with this. They keep getting mine wrong, and various members of my family. XSeptember 2017 Debt = Β£25330

Oh no that's not good. We had a thunder storm here several years ago and it somehow blew up my computer π³I came down in the morning and all I could smell was burning plastic. I think we had a lucky escape that night.Willowtree222 said:We've had power cuts recently. Unfortunately, it has broken my TV and I've been advised I need a new one. Ahh the dim and distant days when I loved to work Sundays πI have also read some truly awful books too, I only got two pages into the last one and then sent it back. I only have a winter duvet but in the summer I just sleep under a sheet with the window openΒMuddy_Walker said:I am now into November 2018 of your diary and am furious on your behalf of the selfish rota person π‘ how very dare they take the Sundays and leave you with the miserable Mondays!!!!!ΒI love reading too and use Kindle unlimited- I have found some brilliant writers and some truly awful ones π€£

You now need to discover the podcast The Secret World of Slimming Clubs. I have been blamed for introducing OBL to this podcast and making her laugh out loud on the bus π€£Muddy_Walker said:I am now into November 2018 of your diary and am furious on your behalf of the selfish rota person π‘ how very dare they take the Sundays and leave you with the miserable Mondays!!!!!ΒI love reading too and use Kindle unlimited- I have found some brilliant writers and some truly awful ones π€£

Some of these groups are like some of the FB groups aren't they? I joined a FB group several years ago when I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis. I didn't want to take the drugs the GP offered me, and thought I might find some tips on the group as it was supposed to be for people who were wanting to follow the more natural route.Β Well...what can I say?Β I am not on the group anymore!Β It was just full of people saying "Please pray for me, my bones are falling apart" or, "please pray for me I don't want to die"...it was awful, and heaven forbid if you had an opinion of your own and didn't follow the herd..Β Only good thing that came out of it, was I met a lovely lady who thinks so much like me about it all and we have now become best friends.ΒOnebrokelady said:
That's the trouble isn't it with these things if people don't use them them they disappear. I joined a meet up Β group for people with chronic illness years ago and it only lasted a few months before people stopped going. It was a bit illness focused though and would have been better if it had been a group of people meeting for coffee and a chat but it rapidly turned into a competition over who had the most problems so I think people just got fed up with it. This is just a general meet up that looks like it's been going for a few months now so hopefully it will still be going when I can actually goΒSun_Addict said:How lovely youβve joined the local friendship group.
