The Diary Of Onebrokelady Aged 60 And A Half

Yay it's the weekend and I'm off 🎉🎉 yesterday at work was ok and I managed to get through the day without too much pain but I'm paying for it today it seems. Both my legs are hurting now which is suspicious so I've taken my painkillers and I'm ignoring it 😀
The big news of the day is that my new neighbour has started to move in. I bumped into her as I was taking B out and she seems really nice so that's hopeful. I was also very lucky when I took B out because it was a lovely sunny morning but it's now chucking it down and I didn't take my brolly.
I was going to go into town today to pick up my prescription but DD2 messaged me earlier ask if I wanted to meet for a coffee tomorrow so I will do it then instead. Hopefully I will be a bit more mobile tomorrow 🤞🤞
Im just going to potter around at home today instead. I've got a load of washing on so far then just have to sweep the floors and I might read my book.
I also got my monthly message from EDF to send my meter readings so I will do that in a minute or I will forget.
I also forgot to say that I joined a local ladies friendship group on FB the other day and there is a coffee and craft meet up being organised once a fortnight in town so I'm going to go to the next one. My social life is quite limited so I thought I would try and join something to try and meet new peopleOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -

I think expanding your social circle is a good idea, and if it involves things you like, even better.
Not good that both of your legs are Protesting though. X

How lovely you’ve joined the local friendship group. I joined a local one back in the pandemic days and we had one meet up which was lovely then it seemed to disappear 🙁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Fingers crossed the neighbour is nice, and good idea on the friendship group."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Really 😂I'm known as a straight talking grumpy person in real life but with a sense of humour too . I tend to say what I think then afterwards I'm always thinking " hmmmm I'm not sure I should have said that " I do like having a laugh though 😀Cloth_of_Gold said:Onebrokelady said:

I'm looking forward to giving it a go and luckily I'm ok going to things on my own too. I'm so peed off with my body at the moment. I've made an effort to eat quite healthy food over the last couple of weeks and had started walking again but it's not helping.....perhaps it's in shock 😀Willowtree222 said:I think expanding your social circle is a good idea, and if it involves things you like, even better.

That's the trouble isn't it with these things if people don't use them them they disappear. I joined a meet up group for people with chronic illness years ago and it only lasted a few months before people stopped going. It was a bit illness focused though and would have been better if it had been a group of people meeting for coffee and a chat but it rapidly turned into a competition over who had the most problems so I think people just got fed up with it. This is just a general meet up that looks like it's been going for a few months now so hopefully it will still be going when I can actually goSun_Addict said:How lovely you’ve joined the local friendship group.
