I read something recently that said if you have trouble finding things to do that you enjoy think about what you like doing as a child and I used to love these along with lots of other things so I bought myself a nice one to have a go at.
I read something like that a while ago so I bought the whole L M Motgomery - Anne of Green Gables series. A really good buy & proved the theory. I have to wonder how I managed until kindle took over my world. I liked it as a retirement present & now absolutely love it. I am on my second now as this one I don't need a light on to read. Ideal for reading in bed as it turns itself off (unless it falls on your nose) if you don't move it & you don't have a bedside light on to waken you up.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -

I loved pony books too - the Pullein Thompson sister were my favourites. I still collect them if I can find then! I'll investigate the Kindle books, @peb, thanks.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
Arrrggghhhh still in lots of pain today so have taken some painkillers. I still haven't phoned my GP though as I need to psych myself up for them not being able to do anything or blaming my mood.
I did manage to slowly follow B round the garden to get a urine sample though so that's good. I brought home a pot from work and just held it underneath her bum. She looked round at me like I was mad 😀😀 I hope the neighbours weren't watching 😊 we also went for a very slow meander round the block which was lovely in the sunshine ( it's now gone and the clouds have arrived )
Im just having a cup of tea then I've got things to do. I'm going to cook one of the meals today but I haven't got the energy to do both and I also need to try and sort the curtains tooOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
It must be very disheartening to get this level of pain back after having had a while when it wasn't so bad. Try not to do do too many things for now.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

You have no idea how glad I am not to have had to get a pets urine sample. Not that I have one now as I couldn't face the upset of another loss.

*Subscribes*Hello, Onebrokelady. I've just read through the thread - it's like a soap opera.Regarding re-enamelling the bath, we didn't want to get rid of our bath as, like yours, it's quite large. We were told it couldn't be done in situ though and we didn't want to have it taken out, done, and then re-fitted as this would have been a lot of hassle, would have been expensive and as our shower is over the bath would have left us unable to bathe/shower. In the end we had it done by a spray paint method, which was done in situ in a few hours. It's sprayed with some sort of special paint that looks like enamel. That was a few years ago and it still looks good apart from a couple of areas where the drying rack we put over the bath fell down and scratched it.Re replacing it or not with a shower, as someone else said I think you should have which ever suits you best. No one is going to not buy your house because it has a bath not a shower, or vice versa. I think that these days most people seem to prefer a shower but not all, of course. You said your house is on a steep hill and also up a lot of steps. That is more of an issue for the future I would say. My partner has developed severe osteoarthritis and the steps we have make it very difficult and where we live is really unsuitable for someone with mobility problems. I wanted to move years ago but was told 'no' but it would have been better if we had. It sounds as if it's not an issue for you at the moment but it's much better to plan ahead and move before you have to, as it will be a lot easier.I hope the vet can help the lovely B.2

The re enamelling would be done in situ and I thought it was a spray method. I know I wouldn't be able to use it for 24 hours but I have a massive plastic box that I could stand and have a wash in if I needed to 😀 I am leaning towards replacing it with a shower really. This bathroom has needed dong for years and I've put up with it but I'm thinking now might be the time to make it nice for myself 😊
The steps up to the house are not always a problem for me at the moment it's just on occasion I have trouble if my hip or knee is playing up and I'm in a lot of pain, I can't always step up with my left leg so have to do one step at a time leading with my right leg.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
Yuck what a horrible afternoon to have to go out. I had to leave at 4 to catch the bus for Bs 5pm appointment and of course it didn't show up. The one going in the other direction came so I had to pick her up and run across the road, It goes to the same place but takes a longer route and I really could have done without picking her up and going for a jog.
The urine test showed that her urine is very dilute which means she probably has kidney disease but I'm not sure how severe yet. The vet did some comprehensive bloods and will phone me tomorrow to let me know what we are dealing with. If it's severe I'm going to have to decide whether to let her go 😟 if not I'm not sure what treatment if any that there is. I'm not putting her through months of treatment if it's not going to achieve anything. He asked how she got on with the Librela and I told him it didn't help and about some of the side effects she had and he agreed it wasn't right for her to have it again . I was petrified she was going to wee on the bus 😀 but she managed to hold it in on the way there and back. We had to wait ages for a bus to bring us home again and it was chucking it down I noticed she wasn't able to stand up for long while standing still. She also has cataracts in both eyes so has limited vision too 😟 she did come home with a cute pink bandage on her leg ❤️❤️
In other news i painted a little little bit of my paint by numbers and I'm impressed with the paint and the brushes , they are a lot better than they used to be . I could only do a bit because the light wasn't very good and I couldn't see properly.
I also cooked the Butternut Squash, Green bean and gnocchi bake for my tea so I've got another one for tomorrow and two in the freezer. I was going to make a leek Croustade at the same time but I was too tired then realised I was using the dish I have to use for the gnocchi so I couldn't do it anyway .
I didn't get to do the curtains as I thought climbing on the step ladder was a bad idea today. I will hopefully get that done over the weekend. I am working 9-5 tomorrow in clinics then I have four days off 🎉🎉Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942
