    I'm the same, @Onebrokelady - Once I've decided wallpaper is coming off, I can't resist a piggle.
You had a really productive day there.

  • I have had a very productive day today . My pain levels weren't as bad so I got on with some jobs.
The first was cleaning out the chicken run which was a mess, She has a lovely clean bed now and the old bedding is on the floor of the run. The old stuff from the run has  been spread around the borders in the garden where it will be taken down into the soil by the rain and worms. I have a hedge along the border that has got a bit straggly so when the weather cheers up I'm going to give it a good prune to see if I can rejuvenate it. It's an  Escalonia that I planted for the bees but it's not getting many flowers now so needs to be sorted. I also refilled all the bird feeders so the squirrel will be happy 😀

I then did some of my  paint be numbers for half an hour. It's very relaxing and a lot of fun.

Then it was up to the bedroom to hang the Ikea curtains and they look really good. They are floor length which I don't normally have but they look quite nice so I will leave them long.

While I was there I spent a bit of time scraping some of the paint off the wall . One wall has had to be stripped back to the plaster because the wallpaper took the paint off, of course it didn't all come off so left an uneven covering but I've got rid of most of it today. I wasn't planning on doing that today but there was a bit sticking up and before I knew it I'd stripped most of the wall 😀

While I was tidying up the mess I noticed a small pile of paperwork that was supposed to be in my box file so I ended up clearing out loads of old paper work that I don't need anymore and now my box file is much emptier, organised and labelled . I cleared out all the old mortgage statements and just kept the letter telling me I've paid my mortgage off so that made loads of room 😊I can't be doing with keeping old paperwork.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to do some more bits in my bedroom but will have to see how my hands and wrists feel after today's activities

I wish my day had been as productive!

    Give B a hug from me. :)
I like to make the most of them when they happen 😊 sometimes it's just nice to have a day off though

Yep it's very niggling otherwise 😀

  • I was rudely awoken this morning by one of the cats doing zoomies on the landing, he sounded like a herd of elephants which for a cat that only weighs 3.5 kgs  is some feat 😀 he is also old ( classed as geriatric according to the vet ) but that didn't seem to matter.

Ive so far strolled down to my surgery to hand in a repeat prescription and got a load of washing done which is now out on the line because it's dry and windy with a weak sun. My weather app doesn't give rain for today so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will dry 🤞🤞. I took B with me but I won't again because it was too far for her. I was going to get the bus back but decided not to waste £2 and we made it back at the same time as the bus so that was ok. It was a very slow stroll because EVERYTHING had to be sniffed 😀 she tried her new food this morning and ate it all so that's a good sign, hopefully I won't have to buy any chicken for her now.

Im just having a coffee while trying to decide what to do with my day. There is a pile of shredding that needs doing so that's on my list as there's no point in clearing it out and then leaving it somewhere else.

  • So I just decided to log into PRA and pay off the £70.77 that was on my signature because it was annoying me and I've totally messed it up . I only paid £60 .77 and now have another odd amount 😀also their balance was less than what I had so that was good. It takes a while for the balances to adjust so I'm going to check later to see if theirs agrees with mine. I've also ferreted out a cute little note book so I can record how much I've paid on what date and the current balance because I don't keep track apart from on their website and I thought it was a good idea to have a separate record somewhere.

  • That is a good idea having that separate record.

Glad B ate her food as well. That will be less of a worry for you now. I hope it helps her.

    Sounds like a productive day.

Great to hear B is happy with her new food.

And well done on the payment - £60+ is quite an achievement and it looks to have pushed you past the next thousand in repayments!

It was a very productive day. I think a written record as back up will be good for me because my memory is terrible at updating things on here but I like to write things down.

B also ate her tea so the food looks like a winner, it smells bad though 🤢
