I had my occy health appointment on Wednesday and the doctor said I won’t be eligible for ill health retirement until I have had an appointment with the respiratory team. I got the report today so my manager should have received a copy too. He has said they need to try and move me to outpatients where possible which means they don’t have to place me there permanently so I could still end up working on the ward. He suggested that if I’m on the ward I make sure I practice thorough hand washing to cut down my risk of infection and to wear an FFP3 mask if I’m working with any children who have respiratory illness. I’m not sure if he’s ever tried to work in an FFP3 mask for any length of time but I have and I found it quite hard to breath so not ideal if you have breathing issues.I’ve always had a problem with perfumes affecting my chest but since this last chest infection this has got a lot worse. There was a lady waiting for the bus outside the hospital and her perfume was affecting my breathing so I had to move away only to have to dodge the people smoking 😡
I did manage to meet my friend for coffee yesterday but felt awful when I got home , something had irritated my chest and I had to use my blue inhaler as I was wheezing so much. I just feel like I can’t go anywhere at the moment because the slightest things sets me off wheezing. Last night I didn’t sleep well because my legs were really painful, I took all the painkillers I was allowed and covered my legs in Pernaton gel and did eventually fall asleep round 1am but I had to get up at 7 for work so I was knackered all day.I’m am now off for 6 days 🥳🥳🍾🍾🥳🥳I only had one shift next week so told my manager and asked her to slot me in somewhere then I mentioned I have lots of annual leave left so she let me take an AL day. I only have to work next Friday and I’m then on annual leave for 9 days so I have a nice fortnight coming up now.I am planing on chilling out tomorrow mostly but the vet called to say the cats ashes are back so I might walk over there and pick them up if I feel ok. It’s only about a 20 minute walk and it’s downhill then flat so I should be ok, I will get the bus back because I have to walk up a massive hill otherwise and at the moment that’s not feasible. I will get back to walk g up the hill bit not yet. I’ve still got some residual pain in the bottom of my ribs/ lungs from the pleurisy so I don’t think that’s settled down yet so I don’t want to overdo it
Sunday is meant to a horrible day weather wise so if I feel up to it I’m going restart decorating my bedroom. Ive put fresh bedding on the bed in the spare room so will move into there then I can just move the furniture and leave it in the middle of the room over night instead of moving it back and I also won’t be sleeping in paint fumes.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205 -
Put a cut up an onion into a bowl of water and put it in the painty room, sucks up the paint smells

I’m feeling less sad today which is a relief. I went and picked up the cats ashes from the vets so he is now at home with me until I take him over DD2s place 🙂 It was actually a lovely walk over there in the sun and it was so nice for it not to be raining for a change.I have done some small jobs at home today so changed my bed and made up the bed in the spare room. I also did a load of washing and a small pile of ironing thats been staring at me for weeks. I am going to have a go at the bedroom tomorrow if I’ve got enough energy.
There was a bit of a situation with my new neighbours tonight . I heard lots of crashing and banging then i could hear a girl outside screaming like a banshee, it sounded like a child so I couldn’t sit here and ignore it and had to go out and make sure she was ok . It was the young blokes daughter having a meltdown because she had the wrong food in her takeaway order. He managed to calm her down and get her inside. I told him I work with children and if I see or hear anything untoward I’m supposed to do something about it so that’s why I went out to check things were ok. He came and knocked at my door just now to apologise about the noise and explained she has a lot of issues that are being investigated by different people, she’s only ten but sounded like a teenager. He’s taken her back to her mums now.I know these kids can’t help it but I can’t handle living next to another family with kids who are out of control and smashing the place up. It sounded like the place was being ransacked in there 😩Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1206 -
It's good you went to investigate and it sounds as though they know there's an issue, but I really hope it's not the shape of things to come. Is it half term in your area? If the child is out of her routine it could be making her more volatile.
And I'm glad you had a sunny walk to collect the cat's ashes. Not a pleasant job, but some sunshine makes everything easier and a few mild days up here have been a real boon.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Oh dear I haven’t done any of the things I wanted to do today due to feeling exhausted, I didn’t get up until 10 then I had to go back to bed at 1 and slept until 4 and I’m still tired. I’m really not feeling too good chest wise today and have been quite breathless all day which is very annoying. I’ve just bagged up some stuff for the charity shop because I’m meeting DD2 tomorrow for a coffee and she also has things to donate. I hope I don’t feel like this tomorrow 🤞🤞Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203
