Usually blaming the cat has some value but then there's that lack of opposable thumbs... and certain workmen are adept at excuses, though I have no experience of the ones you used.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202 -

It would be the "spindle" joining the handles that would make that latch move so it could not have been independent of it. Someone has removed that. Just think about how it works. Press down the handle which turns the spindle between the two handles which moves the latch which allows the door to be opened. In the picture you can see the piece joining the handles. My sincere apologies to any cats in residence.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202

Up early today to go to work but I had a really nice shift. I did think I wasn’t going to get there though because I got to the station and realised I’d left my purse at home so didn’t have my card to pay my bus fare but luckily I put it in my coat pocket yesterday and had forgotten to take it out 😀 my co worker showed me how to use Apple Pay when I got to work so if that happens again I can at least use my phone.I came home from work had a cup of tea and fell asleep until 5.30 pm😳 I made myself a lovely stir fry for my tea and have just chilled out this evening. I’m off to bed in a minute but will probably read for a bit.I’m off for two days now and not planning on going out tomorrow, I was going to see DD2 but that’s happening on Sunday now as she is going up to the moors for a walk and to look at the snow 🙂Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205

I didn’t get up until 11 today because I was so tired when the cat woke me up I just went back to sleep. I did have a productive day though once I got going😀
Ive been in the loft and put all the Christmas decorations away and you’ll be pleased to know I didn’t find any little workmen hiding up there or any squirrels but they tend to co e back in the evening where they run around for glad an hour before possible going to sleep. There is definitely something up there but I can see any traces of it when I go up and look. I’ve got to ultrasonic alarm things that got rid of whatever it was last time but they do t seem to be working this time.
I also did some more washing and my ironing then I cleaned and hooverd upstairs and cleaned the bathroom. Downstairs got a quick dust and a sweep because it didn’t really need doing.I’m going to DD2s tomorrow so wanted to get everything done today then I can relax when I get back. I’m also working on Monday but will be finishing at 11.30 so will be home quite early, I might even find time to do some cross stitch if I’m not really tired. I will be getting another Christmas present tomorrow as one of the one DD2 bought me didn’t turn up in time so that’s exciting 😀
Today I spent some time investigating sheep wool loft insulation, I need to properly insulate my loft but I want to do it myself and in an environmentally friendly way so I thought sheep wool would be good. I can lay that myself without having to wear loads of protective gear like you do with fibreglass insulation. I just need to clear out the loft first. There are lots of things up there that can go to the charity shop so I’m going to get down a few at a time and donate them, then there are other things that have to be stored but I can move them out of the way. This is all part of my grand plan to get the house ready to sell at some point so I can move away from the flaming house next door and hopefully to somewhere much quieter. I found a lovely ground floor flat the other day that I really liked the look of, it’s in an area where I used to live so I know it well, it’s just a shame I’m not ready to move yet. I will need to get an EPC certificate for this house which I won’t get without decent loft insulation so that’s my next job. I also need to book my boiler in for it’s yearly service as that’s due late jan early feb.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1206 -
The door is definitely a conundrum. I’d visulised a round doorknob that the cats could knock around the floor. But there’s no way any cat could have moved that…..and if they did get them on film and earn yourself a fortune.
so pleased you found your pass in your pocket when you were heading to work.
Operation get the house ready to sell is going well. I’m sure there will be something around for you when you’re ready. Exciting 😁January spends - £587.584 -

Well yesterday didn’t quite go as planned. I went to work and it was ok but I was on the ward again so knackered after a couple of hours. I made it to the end of the four hours then I came home and went back to bed for three hours 😩 I got up and made some tea then sat and read my book. I’m now reading For The Wolf and it’s really good, there is a second one as well so I will have to find that now. I also managed to find the Anne Cleeves book I’ve been looking for for week, I got book two in the series but couldn’t find book one that was cheap or free but it was 99p on kindle yesterday so I snapped it up. It’s definitely worth waiting for books to go on special offer for me otherwise I would spend a fortune.I went to see my mum today and she was ok, we had a nice catch up then I walked back into town to get the bus home. I’m off to bed now to. Read my book 🙂Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205

I have a kindle wishlist where I have books that I want and I wait for them to go on offer too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Yesterday I went into town and met DD2 for a coffee and we also went for a mooch in town where she led me astray and I ended up buying two more books 😀she had a lucky find though because one the books she wanted was £20 in the bookshop so she left it to wait for it to come out in paperback and we then found it in the library 🍾🥳🍾
DD2 was off to go and see a kitten after she left me and phoned me later to say she has reserved the kitten and is very excited. She was rehoming a cat up until last week but the woman who she was supposed to be rehoming it from kept messing her around so she decided not to go ahead. We felt that this woman would be forever interfering and migh even change her mind after the event so DD decided not to go ahead. We will be going to pick the kitten up on FEB the 7th so that’s exciting, I’m so pleased she’s finally gone ahead with it because she really needs a companion so this will be great for her.
I finally downloaded BorrowBox last night and it’s really good. I have to say most of the books I want to read are on loan but the magazines are really good so I’ve loaned a few of my favourites that I will now be able to read for freeOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1206
