Hope everyone is well, looks like you all been busy
I felt bit better today so went for my haircut and a couple of other errands then this afternoon I nipped out again to fetch my library book I ordered
Today's mostly been about doing 2 loads of washing and I cleaned the upstairs shower while I was in it 😂9 -
Hi all
Thanks Flamingo someone suggested vaseline so I have tried that with two pairs of socks and plasters over the blisters. I have just worn the boots around the office today and they are a tiny bit better, not sure I would ever want to repeat this process though!Round wow a book, you need to do it. And I love the little insights into the rest of everyone else's worlds.
Plodding on at work. Went for my monthly facial this afternoon, I think I actually went to sleep. Nice chat with my brother on the phone today too.
I put the sheets over the airer first thing, the house is fairly clean and tidy, oh except I have half a box of Christmas crackers in the LR and not the faintest idea where I am going to put them. The decs have all gone back into the loft. I have just mopped the kitchen floor before sitting down too.
Fayolle I did yoga first thing but couldn't do one of the poses at all which made me annoyed when I was supposed to be relaxing!
Pj's on next then some mindless telly I think.10 -
Evening all,
Nothing exciting to report here whatsoever. Up, scraped ice from the car, went to work, might have sworn a few times out loud during the day, battled the inexplicable traffic home, “cooked” dinner by adding to last night’s LOs, WULTD.I have just finished sorting the f&v pile after I may just have suggested that DH shift his derrière and make an effort to go to the market in small town today. And….drumroll please….I have marmalade oranges at last!! Marmalade Day will have to be a job for the weekend. Not sure what DH was thinking when he bought a massive bag of chillis for £1 though, given that we still have most of last year’s chilli harvest in the freezer. Lots of meals with chilli coming up, along with a good old fashioned game of..you guessed it..freezer tetris.
Right, now I have a choice. HHI or HHYoga. Not really a choice, is it 😊
ETA - when you’ve written the first draft of the book, Round, pass it around for a shuftie. Don’t forget us when you get your literary fame and fortune 🤣9 -
Evening all,
Lots done here as usual. I am now relaxing with a cuppa and my book by the fire, the children are in bed. I got everything moved back into DS room today and he’s so pleased with it. I still need to re-hang the curtains, order a new blind and put a shelf up, but they will be weekend jobs. We’ve played a few games of frustration this evening and I had a chat with farmer from next door (I say next door in a very loose sense, three miles away). We were stood outside with our head torches on chatting away for about 20 mins and I didn’t realise how cold I’d gotten until I came in. HWB is helping!I have loaded the car up with yet more stuff from the workshop for the tip, and used up the last of a pile of logs in a certain corner which has now been swept out and has the outdoor chairs neatly stacked there. I’ve got enough logs for the rest of winter on the other pile thankfully.I am going to the food waste pantry tomorrow on my lunch break which I am looking forward to. Need to update budget spreadsheet at some point as well, and list a cartoon rug that DS has way outgrown on Facebook.
Chocolate digestives in the tin and teapot keeping warm on the stove overnight. Take care friends xx9 -
Good evening, I am just checking in as I never got around to posting today as it has been a busy day with paid stuff. I haven't managed any flying today except the daily basics. I'm going to get a cuppa and then get an early night, as I have a lot to get done tomorrow. Hope everyone has had a good Wednesday.9

@JingsMyBucket I hope that the physio you have helps your neck which in turns helps your dizziness, as that must be horrible.@Valli your detective work with the chocolate chip suggests another book. You know that series The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency? We could have the No. 1 Flyladies' Detective Agency. The first one could be The Mystery of the Missing Chocolate - Valli Investigates.Today, after my morning ablutions and the first lot of eye drops, I put on the last load of TDing that I didn't get done last night. I put together some things to take to a charity shop and took out the amaryllises onto the landing for more sun and washed up A's breakfast things. It is the first anniversary of my lovely friend's death and a mass was being said for him at the lunchtime service so I wanted to go to that. On the way I was going to take the things to the charity shop but couldn't find anywhere to park and in the end gave up and carried on to church. After the service I dropped them off at a different shop. I called in at M&S to get some bread and bananas and to the corner shop for the paper and then came home, administered more eye drops and had a late lunch.A had a telephone call booked for 2pm with someone from the hospital to discuss his blood test results but by 2.30 no one had rung so he rang them and was told someone would look into it and ring back. In the meantime I was going to take down the Christmas down to the collection point but decided to cut off a lot of branches to make it easier to carry. I then made tea, during which someone finally rang from the hospital. After tea I carried the tree down, and along to the collection point, cleared up the branches I'd cut off and were littering the landing and then started to vac up the mountain of needles that the branch removal process had left behind. That went ok at first but after a while the cordless vac I have started making complaining noises and then refused to pick up even one more needle so I resorted to using the crevice tool, which took ages. After I'd finished I took the vac back into the flat to investigate the problem and in doing so a whole lot of needles came out over the sitting room carpet, requiring that to be vacc'd too. Once I'd done that I brought in the amaryllises and a pot of hyacinths that had been trapped on a window ledge behind the tree.I decided to have a short break and watched a bit of The Yorkshire Auction House. After that it was time to prepare supper: re-heated casserole and veg for A and as I wasn't that hungry (having stupidly just snacked on crisps) some falafel balls with a bit of houmous and a couple of Ryvita for me. I've just done more eye drops and washed up and A is snoozing on the sofa so I have a bit of time now to read and be still, I hope, until it's time for the pre-bed eye routine.

Hope you feel better tomorrow Valli.I didn't read in the end but watched a recording I'd made of the end of a programme about Brits moving to continental Europe and setting up businesses. Then I did the night time eye routine, set up A's breakfast things, cleaned my teeth and now I'm going to read for 15 mins before going to bed.9

Anyone for a cuppa?! X
ETA, I have given in and got up. Very annoying because I know I will be exhausted later and I have a really busy day ahead. It’s fine in summer when it’s already light outside by now and I can get on with jobs, but this is too early for the bleak midwinter!Back in bed with a cuppa and HWB. Someone on another thread mentioned the Online Home Store as being excellent quality and value, I’ve just ordered DS
much needed new bedding and an Oodie.First job today is to put the teddy fleecing bedding back on my bed - I had my ‘normal’ bedding on last night and it was too chilly!Hope Piggers is okay, missed your posts yesterday xx
Take care all xx11 -
ASB we're on HWBs at the moment with brushed Cotton bedding but I am considering putting the heated blanket in! I already have my hoodie with hood up and fingerless gloves on in the house as I'm so cold (and too cheap to put the heating on when it's going to be just me and the dog all day!
Done: S&S x2, and washing up done, still some to dry and put away.
To do: general tidy once Mr F is off to work, declutter and clean under Junior F's bed, finish yesterday's declutter and start listing it, go to Mr T for top up shop, and do the application to swap to UC. Oh and do that weeding I missed yesterday. Going to be busy!
Have a good day allMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.
