Mos of us would call your day a success - I know that I would.@YORKSHIRELASS I've often fancied working in an auction house - I bet it's really interesting. A nice part of the world you live in. We used to go for runs out to Pickering and the North Yorkshire Moors when we were children.8

After tea I washed up then ironed a pair of cords and polished some shoes as I had been invited over to some friends who live not far away for a drink. I rarely go out in the evening these days (or during the day for any social for that matter) so it was a little treat. When I came back I did the eye drops and then made our supper and soon I'll wash up whilst A watches Granchester. I watched a couple of episodes of the first series but whilst, visually, it is lovely I found the plots far-fetched and a bit dull. After Granchester it will be time to start the evening eye routine and then, for me, try to get to bed before midnight.

Another one in the WAC last night, very annoying. When I finally got up (hastily as I had a training webinar to watch 9.30-10am), I checked and was still 8th on the waiting list for Pilates so ended up cancelling the noon class and joining the waiting list for the 4.30 one as I felt so tired. Just about stayed awake through the webinar.
Started to score up the assessment I did yesterday, which was a tricky one so also emailed manager to get more info. emailed the student to set up a Zoom for some follow-up questions.
Took some stuff to the tip with Mr N then we went to a few shops seeking electric fires. We have a lovely-looking cast iron gas stove in the lounge, but it is no longer connected - some of you may remember that we needed to get the fireplace re-pointed as some of the brickwork was dodgy; to do that, the fire had to be disconnected. We were then told that it no longer satisfied newer gas regulations so we could only get it reconnected if we bought a £1500 flue. So we looked at new fires then came home and researched more info including getting an electric 'mock log' unit to put inside the old cast iron one. Needs more thought and investigation. It's really cold at the moment and I don't think my cold-water swimming acclimatisation is doing its job yet! I'm betting it will be cold on Saturday.
Checked pilates list before I went to my drum lesson and I was still 6th on the list so cancelled, apathy rules. I can't say I was that alert in my drumming either.
After dinner (yesterday's chicken casserole) and a film, I've come up to do a tiny bit more on the report but plan an early night.
Wishing everyone a good night's sleep and a more refreshed and lively day tomorrow.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
managed to get the offspring to bring their washing over as i have a space in the washing schedule (their machine broke) also i will be able to peg it out, they have no drier or outside space.
I think i have narrowed down some foods to avoid, including salad…probably just leaves, which makes me sad but it’s only temporary.

Morning all
Another rotten night’s sleep here, the pup needed to go out twice, something to do with him chewing through the wire on my much loved heated throw yesterday 🙄🙄😠.I read a bit and dozed off for an hour but feel like a washed out rag this morning. Usual day of paid stuff and some attempt at flying. I need to post an item, chop some wood and also go to Hawes at some point to run an errand. I shall be very glad when it’s 4pm and I can finish.I am doing a Buffet tea and we are having an Uno and Frustration evening. Have fab days all xx11 -

No work today but i do need to log in and pay wages…5 minute job.
I’m thinking about cleaning the Vallimobile too. Definitely need to check the screen wash. And i will try to finish the jumper i’ve almost finished…or at least get further on.

Morning all xx
I gave myself the day off yesterday. Brunch with L at the posh farm shop cafe first, then called to see P & S. P had an iron infusion on Wednesday for the anaemia, and apparently he may need a heart operation after all. I can't keep up!
Then home and it was a read a book day. Trying to remember if I flew at all. 🤔 Made my bed, fed the birds, and put out the recycling. Thassit.
Today is a new day. I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, eaten breakfast and I'm supping brew 2.
To Do Today List (Aspirations)
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the rubbish and recycling
WUDUPA
Hoover hall and landing
Find homes for Christmas presents
Merge piles of TBR books
Clear under coffee table
Clear coffee table
I see to have the Blue Monday blues (even though it's Friday) and the back to work blues (even though I don't go back until Tuesday!). As long as it's not the eating less carp blues (I have to be careful not to wobble my brain chemistry while I'm on slinky or the black dog lands heavily.)
Talking of slinky. 30g of cereal is a portion! Seriously? It barely covers the bottom of the dish never mind coming up the sides not leaving much room for milk! That'll be why I'm fat then.
Right. Get dressed.
See you later
