Hi all
Welcome Flowerpot xNot quite ASBs level but I somehow subscribed to an app costing me £3.60 a month so that has been cancelled. I have decided that if I buy anything new this year I will try to buy quality so have bought expensive new leather boots for work and they have given me a blister. I am going to have to persevere with them.
I am working to my own lists as usual. Our bed has been changed and sheets are in WM, DH has cleaned out the LR fire and hoovered and dusted in there. Kitchen bin washed out, floor hoovered, DW on. Our bedroom dusted and tidied. I have also washed doggy blankets from his crate.
I have done a 30 minute strength training video, a 30 minute walk (hence the blister) and 7 hours at the paid stuff. Enough for today.
I like Horlicks but didn't know about the palm oil. Is Ovaltine any better?10 -
YL, try rubbing a white candle on the inside of the boots, and wearing the with one pair of thick socks with a thin one on top. That's what we usually do with Doc M-artens so they are hard to break in
Just the usual night jobs of WUDUPA, lunches, and uniforms left. Tired again.Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

CoG, you are always so busy, I love reading your updates. A is very lucky to have you. I want to know when you’ve got that gift card sorted! xx
HB I’ve missed you, lovely to have you back xx
DD was absolutely freezing when I picked her up from football, they’d played the match outside in t shirts and shorts 🥶 . Bagged around £25 of stuff for £6 in my yellow sticker hunt, then had a chat on the phone with DS’ headteacher. He has started getting upset about me and his dad all of a sudden again, and had a cry at school today. I’ve had a good chat with him and he seems okay now.In sad news my mum messaged me earlier to say her DH has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. They half expected it I think but that, combined with her health problems (both mental and physical) is going to make for a challenging few months.
The dogs are fast asleep in front of the kitchen fire and I’m going to head to bed to read soon. Dropping the blasted cockerels off at another farm in the morning, means a short drive into Cumbria but I’ll walk the dogs at Tan Hill when I go past to make it worth it for them too.Sleep well all xx10 -
ASB that sounds like a tough evening, hope you get a good night's sleep!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

I always think my updates are too long and boring so I'm pleased you like them. I have no one much to talk to all day apart from A so it's nice to come on here and 'chat' away lol. I am always busy, as you say, but most posters on here, including you, seem to be very busy, and I feel that my life compared to many, is a doddle lol. Before I go to bed I'm going to send the ISP another e-mail, also e-mail the company who sent me the scarf that looks nothing like it does on the website and also reply to a friend, whom I used to work with, but lost contact with during the pandemic. I sent her a Christmas card and she sent me a long email saying how pleased she was to hear from me and that her husband had had a lot of health problems. I've been meaning to reply for ages but just haven't got around to it - now is the day though! My very dear friend, who died a year ago tomorrow, had prostate cancer. He had it for 20 years though and although of course I don't know your mum's DH's circumstances it is often very treatable and there is a lot of research being done and lots of new treatments are being developed. I will say a prayer for him and your mum tonight.10 -

WM x 3, TD x 1 (towels) and DW x 1
Just having my vertical half hour
The front and back of the tricky top are knitted, I've to join the shoulders, knit the sleeve edges then knit the neck ...the end is in sight. been to town with DD so banked some money for work (have to walk past the bank anyway). DD was doing something ...they asked for her memorable date...neither of us could solve that one - ID was produced and new memorable date which is actually memorable agreed upon. Been to Savers and might have popped into the bakers and might have picked up a couple of vanilla slices. Went to Boots. Used my points for a couple of sale bargains. All washing ironed apart from the drip dried handwashing which needs do dry a but more (well a lot actually).Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

CoG I like your updates too. I don't have a job (aside from looking after the house etc), and I often feel a bit odd. I'm a carer for my son, and Mr F is now out mon-fri so I'm often home alone. I don't mind solitude, but I can be prone to messing around with reading/crafting and forget housewife duties, so this place keeps me accountableMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Most men with a dx of prostate cancer die with it not of it.. my friends dad has had it for about 20 years.
From the horlicks website..Horlicks is loved not only for the delicious and unique malty taste but also for its comforting creaminess. To achieve the creaminess we use non-hydrogenated palm oil, which is a vegetable oil that is one of the most commonly used ingredients in food and drink products. We only use RSPO certified palm oil which means it is sourced responsibly from an international supplier and grown in a sustainable mannerFor more information please visit www.rspo.org.
