How amazing!!!!
Debt Free - 4th June 20251 -
EF: had to withdraw £100 to just cover more of buffer in current account, aubergine now paid though so hopefully that EF will be back up and added to as I head towards the end of the month and hopefully I’ll add a chunk on pay day to EF. All major bills done now for the month. Just groceries to go.Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 97/550

Lots of bits of veg around, so made a veggie egg fried rice for dinner but then didn’t fancy it. So have a load for lunches and maybe dinner tomorrow. Had dippy eggs for dinner 😆💯👌🏼.I’m feeling SO impatient to pay the last of the DMP off, and I do have enough in the EF to do so. But then I’ll be so on the line and for no reason. These last 10 days will drag before I have additional funds to be comfortable to pay it off. I’ve done 4 years of chipping away at this debt, what’s another 10 days.I’m interested in what it will feel like.One of the accounts that’s in the DMP was my first bank account as a young person, quickly offering a large overdraft when I became a student. I was working too but then was typically in my overdraft much of the time. Then I did ok. But I then completely lost all sense of balance in amongst that horrid relationship time. I am coming to the final few days of a long journey, and it can’t come soon enough.I expect that I will be banging on about this for the next 10 days+!
Theres a lot to reflect on, process, celebrate and plan for!Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 97/550

Hi BudgetingBelinda
just found your diary last night and have read it through. I’m so impressed with your focus over the months, and now you are in single figures of days to be debt free. You have done brilliantly, onwards and upwards for you and your two boys.SL XMFIT -T5 #421 -
@stoplurking thank you so much!

I’m so exhausted.Such a busy week, work and home. Major breakthrough with DS2 and school issues and support. Taken me a year of fighting to get this extra stuff on top of EHCP stuff, which is just so hard to get, & on top of the usual SEND admin, meetings, battles and logistics.Feels good but also there’s a kick back, just the chronic levels of stress that eventually release a little and the thought of having to gain some strength and resilience to do it again as it’s a constant and on to the next.Won’t share too much about that on here as it’s a rabbit hole that’s huge… but if you know you know. Warrior SEND mum lives here.Had a bit of help tonight with logistics for DS1 which was so helpful and needed. I’m spent. Definitely a weekend for major chills and self care. I’m feeling happy, and also emotional and drained. The mixed bag. Upcoming DMP final payment still being scheduled and PPlan are still trying to finalise the settlement figure.Next week is a big week! So much time and work in so many areas of my life and they’re all moving in the right direction.Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 97/550

Hmmmm. Toothache 🙄😬😳 and I think a little bit of said tooth or old filling fell out. I don’t have a dentist. So that is today’s job. Find a dentist. It’s feeling very iffy… the tooth and my budget! 😭Emergency Fund: 1000/2000August Grocery Challenge: 97/550
