Well it turns out that the grass wasn't greener on the other side of the fence was it. Oh dear, what a shame.

Well done Watty, lets hope he does actually manage to keep to his word and go another day, but be prepared to deal with him assertively if he does turn up. 'I have nothing to say to you, stop bothering me' in a loud voice in front of a lot of other people should do the job.

I would like to say that words failed me but they did not. Instead I said all I've possibly wanted to say for a long time along the lines of I just dont get why he is sitting there bleating about his health and his income when he has an excellent job and a gold plated pension and that frankly he royally screwed me over and that WattyDog is not something to pick up and drop as suits him.    I felt so much better for saying that and he has agreed to go another day and so avoid us.  (Dont know if he will but I think he might as he has texted to confirm that).

Really proud of self for saying all that calmly. He really is a total (insert whatever word you like) which is why he is my ex and I am happy and should really be working to pay the bills instead of being on here nattering away   Going back to work but thank you all so much.

I think you need to re name yourself Wonder Woman Watty! So glad you found your voice !

Glad you got a chance to say what you wanted.  Hope it feels like a release.   Dont be surprised to find your emotions up and down a bit but that's another step on lifes journey done: contact made, rebuffed, line drawn.

Very proud of you and glad you got that off your chest, though 'frankly he royally screwed me over' is putting it mildly. You had to get a literal actual in reality restraining order against him. He should never ever be contacting you.

Yup, I'd forgotten about the restraining order.  I'm sure you know the procedure for reporting breaches of this @Watty1...and the consequences.   You are totally fab.  Love Humdinger xx
