Thank you KK looking forward to reading that.
Was invited out by neighbour with CC this morning but I realised it would just worry VNM if I went. Now CC is impeccably behaved and even if he is not it is rather like arguing with an armchair but I could see VNM was thinking "what if" and he did bring up the odd occasion he has seen CC throw a "super strop" Said I would stick with the cardiologist advice not to do anything until the angiogram completed. Thank goodness it is only a few days ago, having gone in expecting a bit of a "cut out saturated fats sugar and wine and take up more exercise" talk, beginning to get worried myself now.
As you lovely lot have said, I'm very grateful for my past self who has really knuckled down over and rebuilt savings for emergencies so I can get this sorted quickly.

I remember speaking to my Dad's cardiologist after he passed, who said we needed to treat our bodies like a pension pot if we have a family history of heart problems. The earlier we start paying in the better returns, so if you look after yourself/get treatment earlier the better you'll be later.
I'm sure they are just following this line and want to start early to prevent anything negative later. It's sounds like you've already set yourself up well by living a healthy lifestyle.

Our friend's husband (also a friend) had a proper incident with heart failure just as he was approaching 50 - a huge shock - as has his recovery been - his heart is back up to 95% which is right for his age, around three years on. The medics can't believe his recovery and are looking at some sort of virus or infection causing it that he has overcome. We all want your recovery to be the outcome from this x

@Suffolk_lass that is a scary tale.
Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. I must admit I'm now proper bored by this taking it easy palaver and not doing anything. Have told a few (in real life) pals who have been astounded. One who is a health professional said that I was the last person she would have expected in our friendship circle. She also said that if I walked into her surgery it would never cross her mind that I would have potential heart failure. She made me promise that if I have another episode like last weekend I will go straight to A&E in an ambulance because ambulances have equipment on board and told me I should have gone during the first episode
She basically lectured me for what seemed like an hour on doing absolutely nothing until I go in for the operation. She also told me exactly what the operation would be like having seen one in her training days which was nicer that just reading the leaflet I've been given.
We had met up at a local art exhibition which was fun - but - she wouldn't allow me to have a piece of cake on the basis that cake is bad for the heart😂 and told the other friend we were with that it was unsupportive of her to have a cheese scone with butter 😂😂😂
She was kind but it did somewhat scare me. I had been downplaying this in my mind but she really did push how serious this was. Still, just 4 days and I will have a full picture of what is going on and a treatment plan.

On an MSE front there were some lovely paintings in the exhibition but very expensive. The lady running the tea stall (very lovely, tables chairs, vintage plates displaying cakes, wild flowers in jam jars) came up with what pals and I thought was a great MSE idea. One of my pals loved some paintings and prints and thought they would be wonderful in her kitchen but could not afford them, tea stall lady said see if they sell cards of the paintings then pop into the charity shop for frames and buy mounts pre-cut on line. Isn't that a simple but great idea? For £6 pal bought 3 cards instead of £225 for 3 bits of artwork. Mounted and framed they will look great in her kitchen (which is tiny so the scale will work too).

I would have said that I wasn't surprised. I would associate heart issues with stress and it always seems to me you are quite stressed/under pressure.

Joining in the general relief that you've caught the issue. Doing nothing maybe dull but think of it as an investment in future activity.
