It has been very cold for us as well. Here in the western most part of the Southeast, it was so chilly last night that OH asked for a Thai green curry and I ended up hugging a heated blanket for hours on end!

It's cold because I've almost run out of wood, the boiler has been taken out, I took the electric blanket off the bed, and swapped the mid-weight duvet for the light one… all within a couple of days :)

Dear readers I have some sad news, or if you are Charming Cob some wonderful news.
The Pig is missing (Those of you who drop in regularly will recall Charming Cob hates that Pig.
(it was/is a pet pig so it might have gone to pig heaven or it might just have moved).
We used the path past The Pig, with local friend for moral support and there was no sign of The Pig.
Charming cob strolled along without a care in the world. When we got to the end of the path I asked my pal if she had seen The Pig recently. Her horse does not care about The Pig so she never really thinks about it, but on reflection she didn't think she had seen The Pig for a few weeks. but CC only uses that path if her horse is there for moral support. We will obviously proceed with caution, but, The Pig is missing

🤣 Are there 'Have you seen… [insert appropriate name for a pig]..' posters around? On every lampost, bus stop, parish noticeboard or a postcard in the shop window? No? Pig has relocated - permanently to a new home/porcine heaven, or they are….. on 'making more piggie duties' 😉 or…..
Fingers crossed they've located to a new piggie ark, in a nice location, with a view, an infinity mud pool, and a sweet hay duvet. And Charming Cob gets their bridlepath perambulations back…… 😁

Have you questioned CC and made sure he hasn't set up a side hustle dealing in sausages?

oh no GP. Making more piggies had not crossed my mind. The Pig was a much loved family member so I hope he is just enjoying a new field somewhere and the owner is ok
In other news a supplier at work gives points and I’ve just converted my points to £45 voucher for M and sparkles which is a great win as I can use that for food this coming week

Saturday. We noticed a week ago that the front door frame has come away from the wall, so it needs reattaching. After watching a couple you tube videos VNM assures me this is a job we can do. He is going to look and see what we have in the barn to fix the issue - but - might need to go out for "bits". The door has never fitted very well, but, if we can manage a fix it will be so much cheaper than a replacement, and given plans to move makes sense if we can fix rather than replace.
Have also been sent details of someone who might be able to repoint the brick patio in the top part of the garden. Still waiting on fencer to give me a date, and, also waiting on the quote for the front drive.
